Because the reality is that Democrats should get 0% of the blame while Republicans should get 100%. So Republicans are getting significantly less blame than they should and Democrats are getting significantly more blame than they should.

when the pseudo intellectuals consistently show us they know little about the actual situation on the ground with the public, well, we got problems.

That might be true but the original comment was that Democrats would be blamed more than Republicans and history indicates that's not true. It's not even close.

The mods who wouldn’t vote Jordan voting for this guy who’s just as extreme is funny. They just want to get the speaker election over and then move on to the inevitable policy disaster.

Pre Trump Reality might as well be Fictional Reality at the moment.

We lived in the age of reason. We now live in the age of twitter punch lines!

"This guy is horrific"? Might as well just be Mad Libs with "name a Republican" is horrific.

This one in particular is especially shitty and is just about to step into a huge spotlight with no experience. I’m sure it will go fine lol.

Dems are going to pour money on Biden won R seats about how they support a Christian nationalist coup plotter who wants to make being gay illegal. Essentially the reverse move the Rs pulled against Pelosi for years.

Watching house Rs, who would be the first people to complain about “participation trophies” and such, slap each other on the back after managing to clear the absolute lowest possible bar following three weeks of vicious infighting is really something.

No matter how many times the Republicans dip into the bucket of poop that is their House membership, they are going to pull up a poop.

Re-read Stokely's post that you replied to. That was not at all the claim, not even close.

Bolded for your convenience:
The GOP is really good at knowing just how damn stupid their public is.

There are a ton of people who don't follow politics, will finally realize the shutdown is hurting the economy (especially if it's *their* wallet) and go hurr durr, who's president right now? That's who's to blame!

So yes I expect a shutdown is fine and dandy with that central core of boobs led by Gaetz (can you imagine being "led by Gaetz"?) because they know their voters will never hold them responsible for it.
'X person is to blame' inherently means 'X person is the most to blame'.
Well, I'm glad to be wrong. Maybe its because I still live in FL, but it's hard to ascribe reason to people. And "we've" been responsible for some truly awful politicians in recent years, starting with Rick "I should be in jail for fraud" Scott.
The person who wrote it also appears to agree with me.

Republican party was in critical critical condition on life support and this is a nail in the coffin. There are no more moderates in the Republican party. It is the party of trump and far right maga extremists.

Stick a fork in them. Prepare for the enemy and know the enemy.

OK so his post was more nuanced, but centrally he's stating that GOP voters won't punish the GOP for government shutdowns. I don't think he's wrong, and I said so myself.

Historically, the sitting President shoulders a lot of "blame" for a recession leading up to an election. Just because voters claim that they "blame" the GOP for a shutdown doesn't mean they'll actually express that on their ballot. Stokely said that voters will blame POTUS if the economy suffers.*

Quite frankly, a lot of low info voters don't care a whole lot if federal workers get paid on time (or if unionized auto workers are on strike). So even if they assign more blame to the GOP for a shutdown, the general populace only truly cares when the pain flows throughout the economy. And like dank said, the numbers are still favorable if you're supposed to get 100% blame but you get only half. The GOP gets rewarded for being non-governing assholes, and they know it.

I don't think @Stokely said he agrees with you. He said FL voters continue to elect people that should not be in office.

* You're already seeing voters stupidity operating for a long time. Despite what most economists see as a resilient, stable economy post-pandemic, high inflation has painted American voters in a very dour mood relative to actual reality. Although this has been a trend for some time, GQP voters flat out claim the economy is in terrible condition and it's Biden's fault. Most Presidents would die to have 4% national unemployment and yet Biden's approval rating has been mired for nearly two years already. This reflects that it isn't just partisan GOP voters, but also independents and even Democratic voters.

If an actual recession shows up in 6 months, I have no idea what kind of messaging Democrats can even offer to a disgruntled populace.
