This stalemate of ours is a weakness, not an advantage. You only look at stopping the enemy, you do not see the need for our people to actually make a difference too.
If voters deliver a change in leadership, but it results in little to nothing. Then they will abandon civil discourse in favor of violence. That's practically where Trump came from in the first place.

The Presidency is not a dictatorship. It should obey Congress. WHEN Congress speaks. If Congress cannot speak, then the country should still function under the executive branch.
Otherwise there would be no need for a President to exist.

And although voters say they blame the GOP for being non-governing assholes, they keep voting them back into their gerrymandered districts so there's blame without consequences. If the GOP causes a recession in mid 2024, they figure that actually helps their chances of winning the Presidential election. Because the reality is that Democrats should get 0% of the blame while Republicans should get 100%. So Republicans are getting significantly less blame than they should and Democrats are getting significantly more blame than they should.
