hell yeah! i got my pair of speakers from best buys at the Blossom Hill, Ca (Store #190) center. apparently, even though i couldn't find any speakers left on the shelf, they had some in the back storage. j/w, is the $9.99 product replacement plan (good for two years) really worth it?

Yes! getting the replacement plan is good because you can get a credit voucher if it breaks, and you'll have $89.99 in credit

Depends on who you ask regarding Klipsch vs Logitech. I have never heard the Z560s outside of a store and have a hard time imagining they sound better than the Klipsch. I sold my v2-400s last fall and when I connected these Promedias this weekend it was like being reunited with an old friend.

KLIPSCH will always be better than logitech. Look at the company, their primary goal in life is producing speakers. Logitech's primary goal is producing mice. Each company strayed away from what they normally do. IE. Klipsch creates wonderful home audio products and went to multimedia, Logitech went out of their primary product line of mice and created a multimedia set of speakers (mind you never creating a speaker before in their history) Tell me, whose speakers do you think are going to sound better?
'nuff said.

I too am curious to know if 2 of these would be better than the Z-560s. Both in sound and in value since the Klipsh would cost more than the Z-560s. I have heard good things about both of these speakers. If anyone has experience with both of these and can comment it would be appreciated.

Thanks.

This is a great deal. I am thinking about getting these and adding them to my Klipsch 4.1's to make a 6.2 solution! That would be sweet and my Hercules GTXP sound card should be able to support it!

Hmm ... 6.2 sounds interesting. Let me know how it goes! :)

could you guys who got in this deal provide us with the reciept? I'd love to get this but all of my local Sam Goody stores are OOS.

I called several Sam Goody's in the Tampa Bay area and they were all OOS. I then tried to price match at Best Buy with no luck. I tried called an Orlando store and they said they were out and the sale had ended on Saturday.

Just picked up a set at the Eastridge Mall in San Jose, CA; $89.99 and they still have one box left plus the display model...

I'm not necessarily trying to defend Logitech (I bought the Klipsch's after all) but that is not accurate. Logitech purchased Labtec a year or year and a half ago. Labtec had been making computer speakers for years.

After some hard work, I was able to get my local Best Buy to PM with Sam Goody in Eastridge Mall in San Jose, CA.
The manager wouldn't give me the extra 10% PM difference claiming that since Sam Goody is owned by Best Buy it is not a competitor. I argued with him for a while, but he wouldn't budge so I settled for a straight PM: $90 +tax. Either way, Best Buy got screwed!

Bay Area guys and gals: the only bay area Sam Goody with a new set in stock is the SJ store. As of Tuesday they had one left. The rest either are sold out, don't carry it, or only have a display model left (almost all however did honor the 89.99 price). One Sam Goody worker claimed that they might restock on Thursday but I found this highly unlikely as this is a clearance sale. Anyway....IN OTHER WORDS: if you want this deal to last don't buy the last set at the SJ Eastridge Mall. Instead go to your local Best Buy and have them PM Sam Goody.

Good luck!

If you are talking about the way the packing tape is used on the edges, then don't worry...i think that is just the way Klipsch packages them. All the sets at my local Best Buy were taped around the edges (not so neatly either).

Has anyone experienced heavy vibration/rattle from the rear of the sub (where all the connections are)? The sub seems to have a slight rattle around the screws. I try and fix it tomorrow. I'll have to whip up some cheapo style dynamat!

OMG...

LOUD!

I have a Y splitter to the Klipsch2.1 and Monsoon 702...

I had a problem setting up front/rear, as the rear set had minimal sub out. I have a Seismic edge...

...but I really don't care too much for that. I am happy with the split.

BTW, the monsoons are great for close up tweeters ~ear level and if you can, place the Klipsch a little higher (above head) for a great sound.

(the 2 subs under my desk looks soooo l337, lol)

*read the manual* It clearly states that under most listening conditions you turn the bass to the 10 o'clock position on the dial. Unlike most speakers these do not have to be driven hard to achieve (sp?) superior sound.

I've tried to price match at BB but the sale guy and customer service guy wouldn't let me do it. They called Sam Goody and found out the tag at Sam Goody said the PM 2.1 is 130 watt and the one at BB is 200 watt. So they are not the same model, thats the reason why they didn't want to pricematch. Now, is there a such thing as a 130 watt pro media 2.1? I thought all the 2.1 are 200 watt. The difference thing I notice is the box at Sam Goody is brown while the box at BB is white with colored picture. And the one at Sam Goody is made in 2001 while the one at BB is 2002. Any body knows if there is such thing as 130 watt pro media 2.1? If there isn't, I'm going back to that BB tomorrow and open the box in front of them to show its 200 watt. Some one please verify me that there is only one model of the pro media 2.1!!!

....is 130 watt and the one at BB is 200 watt

130W???

I wasn't aware of anything like that.

If these are indeed the genuine 200W 2.1 klipsch speakers, this is a hot deal.

They are 200 watts.

The sub is 130 watts and the 2 satellites are 35 watts each, totaling 200 watts. Go back and tell the Best Buy manager that he's the fool and get your pricematch.

Thanks gammaguns, tomorrow heading back to that BB to get my pricematch plus 10%. Didn't talk to the manager cause I wasn't sure if I was right, now getting some zzz and battle them later....
They did mention that if I find and purchased one rated at 200 watt, I can get the price match. If they have any other tricks up there sleeve, I let them open the box purchased at Sam Goody.
