Covid & Flu shots scheduled for 1 this afternoon. I’m ~8 weeks post op from a full Thyroidectomy. What could possibly go wrong?!?!🤣😳🙃

I had to be at my PCP for lab work prior to an endocrinologist visit later in the week. Wife and I both got Pfizer Covid and flu shots in the same arm.

Today we both feel the same, injection site pain, agitation, and general bodyaches.

WTactualF with the billing though?!?!

my health insurance got a new specialty pharmacy, so i'm having to go through a whole bunch of bullshit to get my prescription filled because the pharmacy i've been using for the last 4 years is now "out of network" despite the fact that it's in our goddamn building.

That sucks. There are free shots for those who's insurance doesn't cover it. But, you have to go to an approved location like Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, Sam's Club, Costco, etc.

I'm covered 100%. The $$/vial is what opens my eyes. I know the nurse that administered those 4 shots will only see a fraction of what the provider bills/negotiates.

I see now. I looked at the green insurance paid $0.00 line. I didn't see the "Pending Insurance" line.

Ugh, around 8 PM last night I spiked a fever of 101 and a raging headache came on. Back to normal this morning though. 👍

I received both the flu vaccine and the latest covid variant vaccines almost 3 weeks ago.

Flu season is peaking here and my coworker caught covid 10 days ago. He's doing much better now.

I caught a cold last week but feel much better now.

Finally, Kaiser is showing that they have the RSV vaccine, but when I checked, THEIR policy is 70 or older, yet the CDC is recommending it for 60 or older. I got little more than 6 months to go. I'm still going to make an appointment and see if I get a pushback.

I hope you get your appointment, mang.
Just made an appointment for tomorrow. No human interaction involved. No gate keeping.

Oh, and their latest recommendation was for 75 or older! Must be trying to limit it.
And looks like it's not 100% covered. So the copay will be interesting.

The kicker is that the 2023 mRNA vaccines are costing us Muricans about 5 times what the Europeans are paying for them.

Got the shot this AM. Feeling a little blah, but nothing much so far. Minor local pain at the injection site. No request for upfront money, so I may have this covered. Will check the site to see if I got charged anything.

End of oct I got Pfizer, flu and part 1 of a shingles shot…. No issues. No pain or etc..

And similar to Ironic …. I just had a parathyroid removed last Tuesday

I'm getting over something that felt very similar to when I had Covid last year. I was out for a week from work with a bad s/t, cough, and mild fever with chills and slight body aches. I'm still fighting something in my upper respiratory and coughing out gunk, but no more aches and chills. Tested twice and came back negative, but used the expired tests that were supposedly still good. My wife is going through the same crap, except her cough seems deeper. The Dr. gave me antibiotics which appear to be working. On day 5 of those.
