I dunno if thats a good idea or not. Its very helpful to know sometimes when and if a message has been edited. For example, I call you a bottom dwelling scum sucking algae eater and then edit it out so perhaps only you saw it, but no one else can prove I said it. Not only that, but people can also claim they saw things but cant prove that either (when in fact it probably never happened). 🙁

may i ask what the advantage is to turning off nested quoting? threads are nonlinear with people replying to different posts inside a thread, nesting makes it easier to keep track. if a nest gets too long, why not just cut some stuff out

Thirded. It is too easy for us to not have a dark theme. There are already tons of existing themes for vB, and it literally takes a few minutes to add them. Server is beta, anyway, so you can let the existing vB users play with to test the themes before it is modded any further. I get that the UI will be ported over from FT, but all you need to do later is copy that theme (AT standard or whatever), and tweak color settings for a dark theme and other themes.

EDIT: I'm not complaining or anything, nor do I want to be annoying to Derek or mods. Just would like more themes in the (hopefully immediate) future. I'm using Green Grass on FT AT right now, but I like dark themes for my CRT monitor at home.

ive been running a user script in Opera and or FF since the last version of FT went live the killed my dark theme. both can be found in the suggestions forum

Sub forums have their place, and can be used effectively. Unfortunately, they are not. When the majority of forums are sub-forums of other forums, there's a problem.

Are there not going to be any more titles and post counts? Because I'm kinda close to Lifer... losing it all would suck. 😛
 
Wow, to everyone complaining about the theme/UI, remember, THAT'S THE STOCK VB THEME. There is an Anandtech theme, it's just disabled because they're working on it.
