In all fairness the GOP ran 15 wrong ones. Remotely honest politicians simply don't stand a chance against this sort of thing, and much as we shit on the GOP establishment they're not exactly Trump/Bannon. This election reveals just how young and naive america is as a country, without the benefit of this sort of lesson before.

There's certainly a lot establishment propaganda, like pushing centrism as liberal, but that's just competent politics. Folks who tell it like it is don't win elections, esp against trump types.
Trump swallows relatively honest politicians alive. If anything the lesson learned here is that Clinton wasn't dishonest enough to run against a new (to america) type of politician.
As for the centrist strategy, it's reasonably effective if the main point is to win, but nobody really wanted to believe where the center of mass for racial resentment was--not even the GOP establishment.

Her experience is what made her a better president, not a better politician. You know, that's kind of the whole point of picking someone to be president, because they are the most qualified or they have a vision a majority of the people agree with. Bernie lost on both accounts...oops.
