GTA 5 to look way better on PC.

3 days later...still trying to download. Tried to Torrent the thing, but as soon as I open up social club it acts like it doesn't see the files and continues to download the game. I am at 44GB of 60 and it continues to disconnect every 15 seconds.

How the fuck are these guys still in business?

I dunno man, I bought it from GMG and downloaded through the Social Club it went through the first try.

Hmm. If I download something off of Steam at the sametime, the social club download increases. This is the oddest thing! I tried disabling windows firewall - maybe I have to reset after disabling the firewall. I can download anything off steam at my max bandwidth.

I don't think it matters whether you spend it or not. They could just take away what you bought, surely. All transactions are logged. They pay a lot of attention to money since they sell it.

You're the only one ive seen have problems with dl the game. Must be a setup issue.

Well I was more thinking along the lines of not wanting the online portion spoiled early.

You have to level up to unlock some things still.

If you end up with magical money bags you can choose to slowly spend it instead of going crazy to not ruin the online experience....

Well I got it working. Must be! I know a lot of peeps had problems over at the forum about the same issue. Weirdest thing to have to download something else to increase the bandwidth it was downloading at. Almost seem like a packet loss issue or something. Very strange. Even though it was only downloading at 200-300kb, it felt like it was using all available bandwidth. Very strange.

Damn, driving in this game is crazy. Tap the button does nothing, hold it you practically spin around like the center of gravity is in the back of the car. I felt really bad getting the car repo'ed back in really bad shape.

Try a wired 360 controller. The triggers work great for driving. You can switch between kb/m & gamepad on the fly.

Some things you can only do with a gamepad. You can get a speed boost off the line with a rear wheel drive car; do a wingsuit-like glide (hold forward about 60% while falling and you'll glide forward, kind of like using "SKYFALL" cheat in single player, instead of just dropping straight down like a rock - really cool going down a mountain); glide on a motorcycle incredible distances.

I still don't have a gamepad. Just saying. Plus you'd be able to fly properly. Only thing that really sucks with kb/mouse.

i missed out on the stock market thing, and i already did the assassination of the construction worker... I'm already on the "one job to rule them all" at the Union Repository... only have 50k still.

Is the Armored Kurma the only vehicle with bulletproof windows? I thought the Insurgent would but it seems it doesnt.

Kuruma is the only car, I think, and only vehicle you can store. There are some vans and trucks you can steal but can't store, like the police vans that come out when you have 3 stars etc. Yeah, really easy to get shot out of the insurgent. Npcs don't get you so easily though. Also carries 6 people and hard to destroy. When they do blow you up (with like 3-4 rpgs) they pay 16k insurance deductible too.

The main advantage of the insurgent is that you can throw bombs out the window. Can't do that with the kuruma.
