I was wrong about GTA online. Its actually crazy fun once you get to level 10. At first it really seems like there isnt shit to do.

It gets better too imo. The jobs at the higher levels are much more fun then the lower level ones. Jobs like Chop Chop, Extraction and the Los Santos Connection are pretty fun. Also if you have friends the heists are tons of fun. Also keep an eye out for some of the custom maps, there are some, like Stunters vs. Snipers that are super fun.

If you want a fun challenge, start the job four trailers mission and lock the camera to 1st person 🙂 So far every time I do this the people end up liking the challenge. Protip for 1st person lock mode, if the vehicle you are in has an obstructed rear view like a semi or insurgent holding in the reverse camera key "c" and scrolling around let's you cheat mode drive in 3rd person while in the vehicle.

I tried the online again yesterday. I'm only level 5. Its frustrating to say the least. So many hack/mods. I was just driving down the road and this big ass whale was tailgating me, then, all of a sudden some user just spawned into the passenger seat! I jumped out of the car and shot him. On another occasion I just randomly exploded. Also, I really need to figure out how to turn off all online chatter. The volume is way to loud. Where, if any, is this setting? I would love to play more online but its seems more annoying than fun.

change your instance if you see someone cheating. I had one guy doing weird shit near me and I switched and was fine the rest of the evening.

Jump into a couple of heists and you will level to 15 in a few hours. Get into a instance where some car races and learn the tracks. You will lose but still get xp and cash faster than robbing stores.

Make sure to get a mask before doing a bunch of robberies.

Real quick question, if Campaign questions are allowed here. Just finished the Depository Heist so I am flush with cash... First thing I bought was a Helipad cause I had dreams of the chaos I could cause with the $2mm attack helicopter available for purchase.

Problem is, when I buy the helicopter, the only thing that happens is that I am out $2mm. Where does it go? Do I need to pick it up from somewhere?

In online you would call Pegasus from your phone to have it dropped off, same with all planes/copters/boats.

Check your email, you will get one saying your helo has been delivered. I had to save the game to advance time before mine showed up.

Im not interested in racing or knocking off grocery stores, so yeah Im not seeing much to do. I did get into a fun deathmatch with some guys which I slaughtered but then they all ran off. Seems like I spent more time waiting in a lobby to start something than actually doing anything while online. I may give it another go later, but now BF4 has released some new toys so Im back to that. Oh, and I still need to finish Wolfenstein The Old Blood, just too many games and not enuff time.

Gotcha. So hopefully if I get a chance to play tonight, it'll be there for me.

Online sounds like a blast. Once I finish campaign, I am gonna start up the online world.

If this is in single player mode I would do the assassination missions so you can get 2billion per player. The helicopter will be delivered eventually. You need to leave the area most likely and wait for the email. Then go back and have fun.

Yeah, I did a couple of them before reading through this thread on how to make money. Fortunately, not all of them were complete. The last one I did (post the big heist) was the construction one, which I am really hoping wasn't the last one...

the insurgent pickup is such a waste of 1.3 mil

if ida known cant put it in my garage or customize i wouldnt have bought the thing

and cant use it on instanced jobs then

wtf is the point of this thing. other than mobbing around in free roam getting f-all accomplished.

Unfortunately, it is the last one.

another hacker gave me money :\

Came across my first hacker last night.
I was fucking around on the beach & this guy spawned on top of me, kept blowing me up and dropping money bags on top of me. No way to get away from the bags. Ended up up with 700,000. Quickly bought a Kuruma & tricked it out.

From my limited reading here, GTA V online sounds like one of the crappiest experiences around. I think I'll stick to "stabbing out my eyes online".

about the same as a CSGO experience. You see an occasional hacker here and there. Its not that bad. They keep banhammering so it will only get better.

If you only read the complaints it could seem worse than it is.

If you can find a group of 4 and make a Crew and do the co-op missions and even go in a Crew only server too.

In Single Player when you goto Online you can choose to play Online Solo or Invite Only or Friend or Crew only....

However not all Public servers are bad either. It's cool how GTA:O let's you choose how to play without having the experience ruined if you're getting killed a ton of times in a server..... Or wait until you feel you are equipped enough before dealing with PVP.

I've met a few "friends" through pub gaming.

Don't be afraid to send somebody a friend request.

Also, be yourself, and chat during missions. You will meet more like-minded people that way than if you are just another silent practitioner.
