Has anyone ever tried something like this adhered to the gpu with some arctic silver adhesive and some RAM sinks?
36dBA isn't too bad, I've a 1U bolted to my 9700p and I can't hear it.... above the case and CPU fansOriginally posted by: McArra

That's a very noisy solution...

IMO is a waste of space, and a noisy way to cool down a card,... IMO
-i prefer water cooling solutions like ZALMAN RESERATOR1 , more cool and noise is 0db´s .

That's a very noisy solution...Though it's easy to get a rheo (or build one out of a ~10ohm pot) for the fan to quiet it down for machines targeted towards quiet. The cooling capacity of a 1U sink is higher than most any aftermarket GPU cooler and only takes an extra slot. That Giant 4 is nuts
