at my previous job i could come and go as i pleased, come in 2 hours late, take a 3 hour lunch, leave 2 hours early, no one said shit because my work was done and i was essentially on call 24/7/365 as well
current job, only been here a little over a month, no one is "clock watching" me but I am trying to do the 8-5 thing since i'm the new guy. my group goes to lunch together and is typically gone 1-1.5 hours, again no clock watching being done. Everyone else in my group also gets a telecommute day, which I should have soon as well. here's how everyone in my group seems to work:
1 guy is in at 7 and gone by 4
1 guy is in at 7:30 and gone by 4:30
1 guy is in between 8-9 and leaves between 4-6
1 guy is in by 10:30 and leaves around 6 but also works from home until midnight some days
i would hate to ever have another job where not coming in at a certain time (unless there is a meeting scheduled or something) meant any sort of reprimand...
