Yeah, but if someone takes an entire 360 degree rotation to the right and squeezes it into 90 degrees to the right, you're going to have some problems with having a proper translation. Also, why the heck was my wheel turning by itself toward the other direction... yes wheels become harder to turn if you're trying to "force" your car through a turn... but my car is not Herbie and does not turn by itself.

Aikouka have a good evening. go get forza, you know you want it really, and get back to us 8)

Yeah, I can't resist buying a new game :p.

ps, i tried the colin mcrae dirt demo, and have to say its even harder to control the car with the wheel. when i mean hard i mean virtually impossible. anyone else found this?

DiRT was practically impossible and worse than Forza was for me. My car literally went all the way to the left or all the way to the right when trying to turn a tiny bit.

hej, i quite like the paddle shift thingy. i think they should implement that system on every car, in the real world...taking one hand off the steering wheel to change gear with a stick isnt 100% safe. yes? no? its also alot easier.

I hate it... I can't stand having to go from 6 through to 1 just because I go from 80 to 0. Technically, you can just go straight from 6 to 1 in one quick shift. My (real) car has a similar system, although I have a normal automatic-like shifter system ( as you can see here: http://www.aikouka.com/DSC00027.JPG ), but if I'm in Drive and I push it to the left, I can shift my car by pushing the shifter up or down. This is a little better than the paddle system to me, as I still feel like I'm shifting a car. I'm too used to using a standard shifter.

I've probably put about 10 hours into single player and 5 into online multiplayer (yep... 15 hours in 2 days... I'm absolutely hooked).

This game, by far, has the most courteous and mature online crowd I've ever seen. I guess people are sort of "required" to be nice, because its a mutual payoff when you're not getting in accidents all the time.

Using the headset is a must online. People are constantly talking to one another, "Watch out on your left.." "..I'm cutting in between".. It really helps, and totally helps give that couch experience.

At first I was a little frustrated online because I was getting whooped on so bad... but I did a little research online and picked a bunch of cars out, then went home and bought a few in the Auction House.

So far, this is the best 360 game I've played. I might as well sell all my other games.

I thought the first one was difficult too. It is harder than the first one?

Wow that is awesome.

How do you download those graphics in-game?

You can't really unless you purchase the car from someone else. Otherwise, you have to create the graphics yourself in Forza's 'paint shop'.

Wow.. pretty intense then. Is creating graphics hard in the paint shop?

I haven't tried it in Forza 2 but in Forza 1 you had to be on the verge of OCD to get the really complex designs like that up.

They give you a pallet of geometric shapes and some artsy designs....along with letters and numbers. You can put these things on layers and stretch, shrink, rotate, color and move 'em however you like. People have uploaded some killer stuff on various websites. I've dabbled with it and itsa pain doing all this with a gamepad. At the same time I can see where people can let lost on painting their cars for hours on hours.

I picked up a copy on Wednesday afternoon, and have played around a bit in the career mode as well as online.

I enjoyed the few races online I participated in. Had a couple 10 lap races around Sebring, I had my ass handed to me but it was a blast. I'll probably venture more into online racing this weekend when I have a bit more free time.

I'm amazed at some of the designs people come up with for their cars. I can definitely see how they do it, however I know I'd never be able to spend the hours upon hours it must require.

I'm gonna pickup this game tomorrow I think. I have like 4 games at Gamestop that I had reserved and forgot about but bought anyway. Hopefully they can get my credit back and I'll apply it to this.

Got this game today and I gotta say it Forza2 > every GranTurismo game combined. Not just for graphics either, the whole feel is much better. The AI actually tries to win and doesn't run on rails. You can spin the AI out just like you would expect for a real race. In GT they would just run through you.

The auction house idea is super, but I don't find myself using it often. I guess if you made a nice car it would be cool to see what people think it's worth. Overall though this game is easily one of the top Racing games of all time IMO.

So, anyone else got it yet?

So far, ive selected Europe as my home base, chose the TT, and completed the first round of events.

My take so far is that it is promising, and hasnt strayed to much from the original. Im impressed.

Anyone have any details on how you can use your PSP as a rearview mirror?

use your PSP in a game made by MS? explain that to me

Yeah... does not compute.

I thought that I heard the smaller, rear view mirror screen in THIS video was a PSP, or that you could use a PSP like that. I havent heard much more about it, so I asked.

That is a small LCD screen. Not a PSP.

Additionally, that was a special setup by the Forza devs with something like 4 360s running Forza 2 at the same time. You won't find that available to joe consumer.

Actually this is an option available to Joe Consumer. If you go into Options then Multiscreen setup you have the option to setup a 360 as a host or as a client with each 360 being responsible for a particular view. This could be interesting for some racing enthusiasts to lay down the cash for multiple 360s & multiple screens. Or it could be interesting for some business to setup with a cockpit enviroment complete with wheel & pedals and multiple screens.

I'd be playing this right now if my 360 was working right now.

It was working fine when I bought the game, and right when I was about to put the game in to play it for the first time... BAM Ring of red lights.
Couldn't have happened at a worse time.

Oh well, I know I'll be able to play it in a couple of weeks.

I'm disappointed with the highend Rear engine cars in the game. They have zero grip and behave much too wildly even accelerating out of a turn at modest pace....

I think the physics modeling works out much better for slower/heavier cars (You REALLY feel the weight) than it does for the better cars. Its like driving on black ice.

Don't know how realistic it can be when the wheel can't even make a full revolution.

i don't know about nascar but F1 cars atleast have steering that doesn't rotate 360 degrees. i suppose at those highh speeds time spent rotating is gonna kill you.

Ahh cool. I must have read what the devs had said wrong. I took it as this was a dev only setup.

Still, prices for multiple TVs plus multiple 360s in one room for one game is definitely out of the league for Joe Consumer.

I'm going to try and pick the game up this week since I just found a BB gift card and $5 off coupon laying around the house. I want to play with the paint editor some.

Don't forget about the free $10 gift card deal. There's a coupon you can print to get this deal in-store; worked for me.

Were you supposed to get a card for the Fairlady Z if you bought it from Gamestop/EB Games? I bought it on Friday after seeing Knocked Up (as planned... almost forgot actually heh). I get back and realize there's no card or anything for the bonus car. I did get a Forza 2 from off the shelf (I hate getting one off the shelf, I like opening all boxes meself and keeping the authentication sticker thing) and maybe someone stole the code :(.

No it's because the high-end cars are light. You need to add downforce and play with the spring and roll bar adjustments.
