Interesting. Thanks.

I guess O'Malley really was forgettable. I seriously don't remember a single answer he gave.

It was like he was just repeating everything everyone else was saying along with I'm a politician with experience so trust me.

They actually addressed the biggest issues facing the country like inequality, climate change, immigration, education, medical care and provided actual solutions. It was just a more positive vibe to the whole thing. More of a "can do" attitude and willingness to adapt in the face of changing reality instead of clinging to things that worked 20 years ago.

you're clearly living in fantasy land, how is it there?

it was all canned talking points emphasized for effect...no new information, just the same old rhetoric.

This wasn't a debate, Sanders and Clinton will eventually have to throw down for one of them to stand out instead of holding each others penises like they did tonight.

There was more back and forth than most expected. Not as much wwe style back and forth like team red but still mildly entertaining.

You're 100% right with the penis comment though. The back slapping, buddy-buddy moments were lame and disappointing.

So your solution to build a stronger middle class would be what exactly? Please phrase your answer in a way that doesn't include handouts.

Unlike the Democrat candidates, he isn't CLAIMING to have a solution. Whereas, all these are claiming to have the solution but not offering it.

Santa is the perfect comparison. Just like little shit kids they think money and toys are magically made out of thin air.

Wait so now their solutions aren't solutions at all but you don't have a solution either?

Before I put both of you into the troll category how about you explain why their solutions aren't solutions and are simply handouts.

They....haven't.....given.....

You know what? Fuck it. It's tough just trying to explain incompetence to you.

Apparently for iwshane saying "I'm going to put more money in your pocket!" Is a 'solution'

Except that's not what they said.

Disappointing. No blood oaths, black market baby body parts, no forcing women to bear rape babies, shockingly, no Praise Jesus testimonies, and no one was called stupid.

A discussion of policies and who's 5 point plan would be more effective? Boring. What a bunch of losers. They will get killed in the ratings.

I'm pretty sure o'malley called trump a "circus barker". What exactly a "circus barker" is i'm not so sure of, but I wouldn't call it a compliment.

Regarding substance, nothing ground breaking was mentioned.

Kind of interesting to see the democrat debate, the party of the little guy, and barely no mention if any regarding campaign contributions, something the overwhelming majority of americans agree is not kosher. :hmm:

Sanders mentioned it several times. Clinton's not going to mention it, she's on the money side.

Well, the fact of the matter is the Repubs are more than willing to eat their own, to, in true big business fashion, kill the competition to get ahead rather than produce better ideas and solutions. And they prefer to do it out in public with a lot of screaming and shouting, the more witnesses there are, the more dramatic the performance.

The Dems, well, you know the Dems; they'd rather fight their battles away from the public eye in a more "family oriented" way where the daggers and poison gets deployed with more scary smiling, with more discretion and a lot less emotional outbursts. ;)

This. I was having fun noticing the near bi-polar difference in the look on Hillary's face between when she looked at the camera/audience and when she looked at one of her fellow candidates. Pretty sure she imagined brutally stabbing each of her opponents at least once. :)

Sanders pretty harshly denounced super PAC billionaires controlling campaigns early on.

Free college. More freebies, vote for me. Who will pay for all of those freebies? Don't worry about that, vote for me.

How much is the US debt again? Don't worry about that, just tax the rich, vote for me.

Well, in true Dem fashion, the stabbing part is just a means to an end. The intent of the stabber is to at first get the attention of the stabee with the initial piercing thrust, but the satisfaction comes from twisting the blade around between the ribs accompanied by the obligatory scary looking smile I previously mentioned. ;)

Yes, because the fact that the education lvl you can obtain in the US *DEPENDS ON YOUR MONEY* makes so much sense!

Basically, only those well off have a chance to get a good education and then can stay/become even richer later on.
The poor have it harder to get good education therefore also little chance for making it later in life with a well-paying career.

Just like YOU guys want it, the rich can stay rich, they obviously could care less about free education.

Which brings home the point Bernie is making...which obviously eludes you, that a system that only benefits the wealthy is absurd.

Because student loans and relatively affordable public colleges don't exist?

"On this stage you didn't hear anyone denigrate women, you didn't hear anyone make racist comments about new immigrants, you didn't hear anyone speak ill of anyone because of their religious belief," O'Malley said. "What you heard was an honest debate of what will move us forward, to lead to a clean electric grid by 2050, and employ more of our people, rebuild our cities and towns, educate our children at higher and better levels, and include more people in the economic and social life in our country."

Waaaah!! Both parties are the same!! Waaah!!

Waaaah!! P&N is a liberal circle jerk!! Waaah!!

Waaaah!! Why do you need to validate your party is better!? Waaah!!

Waaaah!! That site you linked is owned by cyborg zombie Hitler and the lizard people!!! Was!!

"I truly believe we are standing on the threshold on a new era of American progress. Talk to our young people under 30. You'll never find among them people that want to bash immigrants or people that want to deny rights to gay couples. That tells me we are moving to a more connected, generous and compassionate place and we need to speak to the goodness within our country," O'Malley said.

Anyway, lots of talk and chatter, I didn't really see anything solid frankly - since they ARE Democrats.

SS isn't broken. Sure it needs some tweaks but the underlying structure is solid. Raising the age for SS would be disastrous for the economy in my opinion. If anything, SS should be lowered.

Remove caps and lower the age.

That would be an awful idea. People are living much longer and in return they are more productive even in their 60s. Let's bring down the age requirements for social security to 45. I'm sure the people who hate their jobs would love to see this.

I don't like relying on the government because they are going to turn around one day and they will begin to start slashing programs. They will say they don't have the money anymore, so this has to go and that has to go. Many people rely on the government for too much. In the end these people are going to get burned.

Many people that who have become wealthy have either shunned college or they dropped out. The millionaires who have gone on to college aren't using their degree because college will not make you wealthy.

I have a friend who is 39 years old. Hated school. He never stepped foot in a college classroom, and has even spent time in jail. Guess what? He retired at 33. How many college educated people retire at 33? That answer is zero. Were you able to retire in your 30s?

The wealthy are concerned because more freebies means more taxes. Where does it end? I'm all for education. I have a degree in special education. But, there has to be limits. TBH, I think most people don't belong in college. It's a waste of time for many people. I would tell them to either take a trade or go into business for themselves. But, the second option sounds scary to many of you people because it takes risk. Being in business is the only way you're going to become wealthy.

Finally, even if the wealthy are concerned about paying more taxes, in the end the people who are going to pay will be the middle and upper middle class families. Why? Because the rich are too smart. They will take advantage of every loop hole imaginable. On top of that, they have influence in Congress that the average man can only dream of. I was just reading an article on Warren Buffet. Supposedly, he pays less in taxes than his secretary. How can someone whose a Billionaire pay less in taxes than someone making $40k a year.
