Activation was a breeze. That's my first initial reaction to this phone. Then WOW. This phone is fast! There is a HUGE difference GPU acceleration of the UI! Reminds me of my mom's WP7 (though I know iOS came first)
I don't know what apps to get, but I got myself a GPS Navigation called MotionX GPS Drive. Then came the problems:
Siri couldn't understand anything, and it said "Cannot connect to network". Even though I'm on Wi-Fi. Had to restart the phone... First day I got it and I already have to restart it... After the restart, it turns out that someone left me a voicemail... Which is very strange. I can't have my phone not letting me know that I received a voicemail until I restart or call my phone number.
This morning, Alarm set to 8:30AM. When it came time to wake me up (I was already up) all it did was buzz. No sound or anything. Couldn't turn the damn thing off unless I restart the phone as well too. WTF. Then I noticed I had a miss call as well at around 8:15AM -- Which eventually led me to think, I gotta restart the phone again. Restart the phone, tested the alarm - which finally worked - and bam. Another voicemail. Wow 2 restarts on Day 1. As much as I hated my Android, and how slow it was, at least it was reliable!
Then came something I'm going to have to deal with: Selecting the address of my contact on my EVO 4G would prompt me to which Navigation Software to Use, and if I would like to use it as Default. Not the iPhone. You get Google Maps, period. Kind of annoying, but I can deal with it.
