Castro came into power much like Trump.
In Cuba, pre-Castro era you had the elites vs the poor.
A lot of government corruption.
A system of the wealthy that was stacked in favor for the wealthy.
And as with Trump, the people had just about enough of that.
And probably as will Trump, Castor too took control solely powered by the people. But then once in power nixed many of his promises including the promise for free elections and nixed many of his promises made to those that gave him power.
However... Castor did give his people all inclusive national healthcare, as it were.
Maybe that will be Trump's goal?
I think we will find many similarities between Castor and Trump when it comes to the promises vs the actual deeds.
And like Castro, Trump can not and will not tolerate opposition.
Those that dared oppose Castro had a tendency of mysteriously disappearing.
We will see if that becomes the case under Donald Trump.
And I believe there is already plenty of evidence pointing to exactly that.
Take for example, the press being tossed out of Trump Tower, and Trump attacks directed at individual reporters.
And Trump's new thing going is to simply bypass the press altogether by creating his own insider news coverage.
Of whatever he calls it...?
All I know... maybe those reporters and Trump opponents will not mysteriously disappear under the rule of Donald Trump, but I do expect Trump to isolate most of the press and every opponent from having any access to his administration.
You either play nice with Donald, or your out the door. Period!
So when it comes down to it, what is the difference?
Either way, and as with Castro, Trump will be intolerant of the press the media, and of every single named reporter that dare take him on.
PS.
And Fidel Castro is still dead.
