The only setting that seems out of whack is HDAO and its massive performance hit. Reminds me of DOF in Metro 2033.

HDAO is like a 20% drop in perf right? Thats pretty much in line with BF3 as well, and one of the major difference high vs ultra besides 4xMSAA.

Frankly these useless features hurt performance too much compared to the visual gains.. graphics have hit a huge diminishing returns of late. Seriously, shadows are darker, big deal.

Any news on when we can expect proper SLI support? I'm very excited for this game but I'm a Surround user having shoddy SLI support at this resolution is a no go.

Just update the profile via Nvidia update and use those bits instead of the standard one (DX11):

GTX 680 is at max. 15% faster than 670 at the same clocks. So there is no huge difference between 35 and 40 FPS.

I guess what i was trying to say is my 670 scores above 680's and that 680 users should expect similar performance to what i'm seeing in FC3.

Also, reference 680's are not 15% faster than reference 670's.

When i unlocked on steam the patch was automatically installed and DX11 worked on Kepler.

When i switch between DX9 and DX11... i get the same framerate even though AO is disabled in DX9. This can't be correct, some kind of bug i guess.
Well, although the image IQ increases in dx11 mode, you also get the "dx11 multithreading" feature which, as far as I know, is supposed to improve performance ... so maybe you lose some frames on the more demanding graphics and gain it back due to multithreading...

Makes sense. When i get home i will check the config file to see if D3D11MultithreadedRendering to 1. Though i have read that the 1.01 patch removed this option from the in-game settings menu (but it can still be forced by accessing the config file). Apparently the MultithreadedRendering feature is currently broken on AMD gpu's

What? "Enable" DX11 with patch? WTF good were all those benchmarks then?
Hey boy , i just ask that i must install BETA drivers to make Dx11 enabled on options? Or only patch?

I dont wanna risk to install BETA drivers that are dont WHQL and not fully tested:(

The Patch is to enable DX11, the Beta drivers give you much better performance.

306.97 WHQL . Performance will be ok, without that BETAs?



I have Gtx 680 and 3770K stock

Or i will be have low performance and i must install necessary that beta drivers:?

Using 310.64 and game version 1.01 and DX11 crashes the second I hit the main menu but DX9 seems to be working just fine.
Anyone know whats up with that?

What's the least hardware-intensive? SSAO, HBAO or HDAO? Also, is there some kind of "hack" to disable it in dx11 mode?
