After that, it turned into Diablo III or World of Warcraft for me, and I want high-leveled things to kill...
That strikes me as a clear sign that the game is really over and it's time to start a new playthrough if you still have the itch to play.

If there's content you haven't discovered (and there probably is), better to experience it with a new character where it'll be a challenge, rather than the demi-god mode of level 50+.

True... but I hate the idea of being a peasant with no money or junk again.

Wow, just played it for the first time in a week or so. The draw distance change is huge. Mines used to be pretty short and everything beyond a hundred yards or so was completely stripped down and bland.

Raider Veterans also seem a lot harder to kill now.

Was just fighting my way through South Boston when I shot a raider and heard "Bullet in the Knee"...

I finally found and have all possible settlements up and running. Last one was the Marina- I did not look or cheat - but after finding the Marina - I decided to look it up and just go thru the names and how many are possible to confirm.

Man, found "Curie" after I pretty much finished the game and nearly all side missions. Wish I had found her earlier, shes pretty badass.

Try the game with the sharpening mod. You won't realize how blurry the game has been if you've been playing with TAA enabled. Draw distance looks much more detailed as well; looks gorgeous.

I can't play the game without it now, looks way too blurry.

Finished the main game and found it somewhat unsatisfying. Sided with
the Railroad, wiped out the Brotherhood of Steel, blew up the Institute. Seriously, if I free the synths, haven't I pretty much defanged the Institute? Why must I kill every single one of them? Was also annoyed that Kellogg didn't age - I just fought a hundred-plus year old man without noticing? No way they have technology like that without using it themselves.

So not liking the ending I received, did a bit of searching on the Internet and found there is actually a better ending, one that
preserves the Railroad and the Brotherhood of Steel.
Unfortunately, to get that better ending required doing some BoS and Railroad quests before completing the "Reunions" quest. So I've gone from level 81 & 350 hours back to level 10 and around ten hours. :D Oh well.

One rather hilarious glitch appeared in the Institute on those lovely spiral walkways. The bodies would spawn as soon as they came into view down below - but the heads wouldn't spawn until the person had walked up another 180 degrees. For a brief period, there are headless bodies walking up toward me.

Dang.
I tried looking for a way to keep both the Railroad and BoS alive, but I got to the point where I supposedly had to choose between the two. I'm pretty sure I did all the quests and Google said I had to choose. Ended up wiping out the Railroad.

Also, new patch with increased draw distance is starting to cause problems... Enemies that didn't use to show up are now showing up, and they're within shooting distance of my settlements. Yesterday was fun. My entire settlement started shooting at a big group of supermutants the moment I fast-traveled there.

After playing through the BoS quest line to the end, I'm not sure killing off the guys running it is such a bad idea. Elder Maxson is the most evil of the faction heads, even a bit more evil than the Institute head.

I had no idea you could avoid killing them off, though. The storyline seemed to demand it if you didn't side with them.

I don't like the way either the Railroad or BoS quest lines end. I gather the Minutemen use the same ending. The only way that doesn't happen is if you side with the Institute, which I can't see myself doing, ever.

For those who asked:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUFEeYdQnVc
https://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout/comments/3upily/spoilersdoes_fallout_4_have_a_hidden_secret/

Seems to me that it's basically the Minutemen ending without doing anything that pisses off or empowers the other two factions. However, you have to commit to it VERY early, before completing "Reunions". For whatever reason, both Railroad and the Brotherhood of Steel have quests that, should you complete them, make that faction much more antagonistic toward the other (BoS vs Railroad.)

Finally noticed Jangles the Moon Monkey's face, haha... well, I should check the one I have at Greygarden to see if it's the same... but I came across this odd little scene in an apartment high in a ruined tower downtown... I won't give it away but the monkey's face made me lol.

Anyone doing the Automatron DLC?

I'm just curious if it's worth it.

Just started to play it so I can't comment from much experience. My friend told me basically you can build robots and get a few new pieces of gear. The questline is supposedly 3-4 hours in length. The impression he gave me is its kinda fun but by no means a must have.

I finished the Automatron DLC yesterday. It's fun and I'd say worth it (I got it as part of Season Pass). There's a lot of fighting, a new robot companion, some new legendary Power Armor pieces with unique bonuses, new weapons (both regular and legendary), new regular armor type ("robot") and making Codsworth or Curie into a Sentry Bot is pretty epic :) There are like 4-5 quests in the chain and provide a nice challenge (unless you use some of the totally OP weapons like an explosive minigun). I actually died in the final battle once (I was careless but still). It took me like 3-4 hours to finish (I wasn't really in a hurry but did not sidetrack to anything else, except some fun with the robot companions). Oh and you can make as many new robots as you want and name each one and use as either a companion or settler.

Just remember to wear your Silver Shroud armor during the quest :) The Mechanist is one of the archvillans of Silver Shroud in the Fallout universe, some cool unique dialogue is available if you wear the costume :)

EDIT: Imagine Curie as a dual-Shiskebab wielding Assaultron tearing everything in sight to pieces. Yep, not a problem! :awe:

Very cool! I look forward to firing it up this weekend. I think the big one everyone is waiting for is Far Harbor. I love Bar Harbor In real life , so I'd be interested to see if there are any landmarks in the game.

I continue to have the issue where my settlements drop "happiness" for no apparent reason. Finch farm- which has 250 defense, and 2x food/water per settler, all settlers assigned a bed and a job and all of a sudden has a happiness of 50 (it was 94 the last time I played the game last week). Weird - cant wait to start the new DLC.

Is it in your pipboy only? Or also when you get to the settlement? Build a clinic or two and happiness will be always high :)

I read somewhere that if you are over level 50, the Automatron DLC will not work. Is that true?
