Sorry, I wasn't labeling you all lunatics. Just people like him. Unlike Nitemare, I do not classify millions and millions of people on baseless claims.

or a sign of complete hilarity.

Excessive vulgarity is funny? That's new to me.

You're such a tool, get overself. You're not impressing anyone.

Anyhow . . .

I live in Texas and I laughed at it, pretty funny I though.

😕 Not trying to impress. Just stating my belief.

Cali, sure, but texas hell no. SC is backwards and represents the epitome of the south.

Can't say that I have ever tried Greek or Lebanese food. Have you had authentic TexMex, BBQ, Mexican or Cuban(Florida :heart or properly prepared catfish and hush puppies?
Seeing as how I've lived in SC and flordia, yes I've had them.

SC is backwards? Depends on where you live. Like EVERY OTHER STATE. Closeminded.
Closeminded? I've lived down south and up north. I've lived in SC, how can my mind be closed to the
reality of what I've seen and experienced? I said I liked both the north and the south, and can see the advantages and disadvantages of both. Have you lived outside of SC?

I fail to believe that Mexicans are the reason that the population in the south is growing faster than other areas. I'm sure there is some contributing factor, but honestly, more and more companies are moving out of the Northeast or beginning operations in the south to avoid the hassles of union labor. This creates jobs in the southern states which *gasp* creates motivation for people to move.
Yes, companies will move to areas that are lacking in progressive legislation because then they are better enabled to take advantage. Yes thoes pesky unions, damn them for trying to maintain a better standard of living for locals. If an immigrant wants to do my job for half of my wage, hey why the hell not, sure go ahead. While were at it might as well move all operations to China, they work for 50 cents a day!

If I'm closeminded, than you're a moron.

No, are trying to fake ignorance - for some reason or another.
To claim that it is "news to you" that some people find 'dirty jokes' humerous, is foolish at best. I am pretty sure that you have known well before now that many people do laugh at vulgar humor. However you are one of those posers that pretend to take some moral high ground and fake ignorance about this concept of vulgar humor.
People who find humor in jokes that involve such vulgarity are not always ignorant or have brain chemistry issues; they just like a funny joke. People like you, though, that attempt to play dumb to achieve some false sense of ignorant moral superiority do indeed have issues.

Nitemare, thats one of the worst, most ludicrious posts Ive ever seen on this board. I could go off on just about every point you made, but I'm at work and I don't have time. Just know that you're an idiot, I'm sure someone here will make the specific points that I would have.

So in other words you have nothing to say?

*sigh*

ok, but if I get yelled at for not working its your ass.

First and foremost. Like was just posted...ya know why the south has population growth? Mexican immigration. Its got nothing to do with Northerners realizing how superior the south is. Secondly, what the hell does the south has for food that the north doesn't? If you haven't been to Philly you don't even know what you're missing.

Moving on, first you said "wow no presidents come from the north!" then you change to "oh wait...lots of them do..but look which ones they are hahah!" dude, get a grip, and take a real stance. Plus, who are you fighting for? Republicans or the south? Cuz your little president comparison really goes both ways. Also, don't try to knock FDR, and yes, JFK must have been the worst president ever thats why he got shot  You are ridiculous.

Ha, the civil war, or "war of northern aggression" as you lunatics call it, was fought to stop northern tyranny. Tyranny like you holding black people as slaves? Oh, but that DEFINITELY would have ended soon enough. What's wrong with another 50 or 100 years of slave ownership? It would have eventually ended and you would have been free of Northern tyranny!

You are a complete fool, and you need to get a bit firmer a grasp on reality.

I take it you only read text books and were educated in a government school that frowns on independent thought and researching.

The
real reason for the civil war. Yes slavery was bad, but banning it was Lincolns trump card to gain international support. He could have cared less about African americans.

Wow, you have horrible reading comprehension. "That's new to me" is a phrase conotating that I don't find it funny, nor see how people do. I never said people who find it humorous are ignorant or have brain chemistry issues, I said those who use it do, as they seem to lack an alternative vocabulary. Maybe that generalization isn't always correct, but it most cases it seems to be. It has nothing to do with morality, so shove it.

Next round, jackass.

I'm not saying slavery was the cause of the civil war. I'm saying it was the outcome. You 'wish it had never happened'...well, its your dumbass states that seceded. Waah they are imposing tarrifs on us. Well, your dumbasses have a say in who gets elected. If you don't like it, vote for someone else! Wow, funny how that works.

You're saying the entire state is backwards. That's closeminded. I don't care WHERE you've lived. It doesn't make what you're saying any less closeminded. I was born in SC and have lived here all my life. You say that "South Carolina is backwards and represents the epitome of the South." Stupid generalizations don't make you sound any more openminded. And don't bitch about how great unions are. Start another thread.

The Constitution gave the Southern states the right to secede. They did and the North said fvck no...

"Thomas Jefferson in his First Inaugural Address said, "If there be any among us who would wish to dissolve this Union, or to change its republican form, let them stand undisturbed as monuments of the safety with which error of opinion may be tolerated where reason is left to combat it." Fifteen years later, after the New England Federalists attempted to secede, Jefferson said, "If any state in the Union will declare that it prefers separation ... to a continuance in the union .... I have no hesitation in saying, 'Let us separate.'"

more here

bigotry and close-minded people are not localized to rural states.

you get that all over...

Myself, been in Cali for 20 years...I'm from Kentucky, moved here when I was six years of age. When I go home to visit I always have the best time. Home cooking, people are so friendly, I love having 4 seasons. People seem real. Contrary to popular belief the general population doesn't single out any ethnic minority. Whatever intolerance presented is no different than the little bigots in the Bay Area... differences being (though), you're not shocked when you hear a small town person say something, but when a californian says it, the world turns upside down.

People tend to get along just trying to carve out a decent living to raise families and enjoy a few things in life.

Don't go touting the constitution when the south couldn't even get the preamble right.

Oh, and to comment on my education, yes I went to a public high school, but I am in college now, and just this past term I completed a course "social US history 1815-1900", and the professor is a native of Virginia. I wrote a report based on essays and an autobiography by JEB Stuart for the course. I'm not as ignorant as you'd like to suggest.

No, you're making the assumption that is what I meant. Since you've only lived in SC your entire life, I'll chalk up your ignorance to lack of experience.

WTF.

From personal experience I find the food up north to be much better than down south.

When I was down in south carolina I wanted a steak, so I asked around where the best steak was. Almost everybody told me the best steak was at the outback steakhouse.
The best steak available was at a chain restaurant? I was disappointed.

The best steaks are in Texas. If you can't make it to Texas, Ruths Chris. You have Philly Cheese steaks up there and Coney Island dogs, but that's pretty much all I can recall...

Word, Texas does have the best steaks.

"Without slavery and the resultant plantation economy, the cultural divide and fierce sectional rivalry between North and South over tariff policy would not have developed. Yes I was going to say that I made a generalization, but you jumped all over it like a fat kid on halloween, so I let it ride out to see what other crap you would say.

Even nitemare says SC is backwards. People who live there say it's backwards. Yes it's more apparant in the rural areas, but it's also apparant in the laws and the general legislation of the state. If you don't see that then mabey you havn't been paying attention.
When someone makes a statement, that statement does not always have to be taken as an absolute.

So essentially the South was exploiting slave labor and the North was exploiting the South's cheap labor through tarriffs? So who is the lesser of 2 evils?

Why do people still bother arguing with sammy?

Why's that? You don't see me whining about secession because GWB got elected.
