We also heard Nvidia couldn't build the gtx 580. Would have nothing new to Kepler. Another source on another forum is always right.....
Lots of lol.

For some.

I - and many (most) others - have no interest in Crysis.

Waitaminute. Did you actually just say that because you yourself have no interest in Crysis, that "most" others don't as well?

What context are you using "most" in?

Most people in the world?
Most Console gamers?
Most PC gamers?

And most importantly, which world are you referring to? This planet earth or one of the other dimensions? :D

The card popped up on a swedish e-tailer yesterday, priced att 7400sek (€820 or $1150). Do note that we have 25% VAT on technology, so that should put it at around $850 in the states.

If the displayed price was correct, that is.

Um, I think thats proof enough?

It could be that "most people" in this context was referring to those who played the first, tried the demo of the second, and have a brain.

General consensus seems to be disappointment.

The multiplayer is fun for a short while but gets old very fast. Nowhere near as complex as the last.

The big thing is unlike Crysis 1, Crysis 2 is not a gpu killer and the graphics are significantly worse than Crysis 1, and it's a sequel!

People are maxing this game out on 6870s and 460s. Unfortunately Crytek did not raise the bar, they lowered it.

So is March 22 an announcement of an announcement of an announcement of an intention to release a product somewhere down the line, after an announcement? :D

I kid, I kid.

Bring the 590 on I guess. Useless for me but I'm sure some people will end up buying them.

A little news. The MP of the original Crysis wasn't that stellar either. Crysis Wars was OK. I'm looking forward to the single player version of Crysis 2 only. I don't really care about MP for it. Hey, "most" people probably feel this way if I do. :D

Pick one.

You can ever pick Nvidia video card owners.

Could some one explain how a video card can go significantly over spec? I remember there being an discussion over this in another thread, but I can't find it right now.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to the single player as well. Now that they have a good sci-fi writer. It should be good.

Somehow doubt that price will last for very long. Seeing GTX590 being that much faster than HD6990 doesn't make sense.

I see the 590 being 5% faster and costing 799.00. If its more then that no one will buy it

Due. of a flaw in the handling of this article in our business as published on for a short time on our website with false information. Our policy is to always keep the launch date following the established rules of dialogue with the manufacturer and other potentially involved partners. We refute the information about price, product name and date of delivery to the relevant article.

Then again, maybe not? Retraction by SweClockers.

I think the 590 is gonna be more than 850$... probably closer to 899$.

Question is... how far off is AMD 7xxx cards, and Nvidia 6xx cards?

Because once 28nm GPUs come out... we re bound to see HUGE increases in performance (40%+).

I dont think a 680 nvidia gpu will be faster than a 590... but it probably wont be far off, and be alot cheaper and probably have new features ect, and be MUCH cooler temps, MUCH less noise, than a 590.

that doesnt make sense. if a gtx680 is only 40% faster than a gtx580 then it will not even be close to a gtx590.
