Na the rest was a waste of my time and not even close to relevent.

And your supposed contact with EVGA higher ups is relevant? Care to answer my previous question regarding your repeated 'insider information' claims and your colossal mistake?

P.S - those of us who do take the time to read posts comprehensively tend to disagree with your casual dismissal of posts.

It's painfully obvious he's lying and full of it. I think his "insider information" is trying to find things on other sites most of us don't look at. To reply to people pointing this out would probably hurt his feelings too much. I'm not trying to be mean, but I just call it like it is.

or mabe he is banned and can't answer you? You did your job give it a rest.

Any guess on how much power it will use? I don't think nVidia will release it if it's slower than the 6990. I don't think it can be faster without using more power. Possibly, substantially more.

Now that they don't care about power consumption (or noise or heat). What else are they not gonna bother with on flagship cards. Could we see another Voodoo 5 6000 soon?

My guess is the gtx 590, will release at $849, and be 10% faster then the 6990.

Mods, is this a second account Happy Medium is posting under?

These questions are only ok if handled through the reported-post feature, by pm to a mod, or by creating a thread in moderator discussions. (and we do encourage members to be on alert for RBM's and multi-accounts)

As it stands, when posted in this venue, it merely serves to be a thread-derail as well as a member callout, both of which are unacceptable.

Whatever. Still not the right place for this discussion. You've been told what is. Don't say that nobody told you.

Who's discussing it? D:

All i said was I was thinking the same thing and that it isnt hard to change the IP. That means i am accusing him and want to debate this? 😱

I honestly don't care enough to try. I dont know why i am being singled out for this. I wasn't even the one who brought up the idea that he might be someone else. :\

For the record, yes, by quoting the accusation and adding to the line of thinking you are "piling on" and "seconding the motion". Equally egregious violations of the posting guidelines.

Please cease and desist. Your line of commentary is a thread-derail, this is not the proper venue. Any further discussion MUST be conducted in moderator discussions.

I'm following around Pax East stories and new video's on youtube of the event to see if any news on Nvidia hardware, found this pic from a article. Never saw this before ? I notice it has a beveled edge like the new 580/70. Anyone recognize this ?

I've seen it before. The general consensus was it's photoshopped. After seeing dual 8pins on the 460 2win though, who knows? I suppose it's possible the 590 would be a 525W card! If so, good luck cooling that.

Whatever that card is, it's photochopped. The fact that the second fan isn't beveled as the first one is alone enough to see that.

Wow, you know this thing will suck up the power. NVidia should just allow AMD to keep the performance crown. Maybe nvidia pulled a rabbit out of its hat? Shouldn't be to much longer to find out.

Yes many pictures get the PS treatment in this age, I liked the pipes when we first saw the gtx 480 🙂

The pendulum will swing farther and farther to the extreme so long as the video guys keep finding consumers who are willing to pay for these ever more extreme video card products.

In CPUs the manufacturers found that most consumers weren't interested in products that went much above 150W. Enthusiasts though don't mind OC'ing their CPU's into the 300W territory.

So far the data would suggest that when it comes to enthusiasts in the video card market, they are more tolerant of the thermals/noise/power of their GPU than are the enthusiasts in the CPU marketspace.

That's generally because CPUs are not a major factor at resolutions that people game at, typically 1080p, most GPUs would be the limiting factor, so OC GPU results in big gains, OC on CPU gets you nothing. I would not appreciate a 300W CPU when it has no advantage.
