Go outside, call a woman a bitch and then go call a black person a ni@@er.
Report back as to which one is worse.
How does that make it right?
Both are wrong, who said either was ok?
So a person who calls a black guy a ni@@er should get more of an ass whooping than a person who calls a woman a bitch?

Wow, South Park comes to the rescue to explain my EXACT point again.
HATE is HATE is HATE is HATE is HATE.
No matter which way you put it, HATE towards someone else is never a good thing.
You guys are trying to make one form of hate towards someone worse than the other. I am trying to say they are exactly the same. All politics aside, this is the only point I am trying to make.

Yes, because everyone knows that black people have been oppressed 1000X more throughout history than women.
Spousal rape and rape in general by conquering tribes/nations, arranged marriages, polygamy, fundamental Islam, witch-trials, fighting for suffrage. These are nothing compared to the plight of everyone else.

I see. A black man hanging in effigy = hate crime. White woman = just bad taste. Makes perfect sense.

So just so I understand you and peyton, if this was done on someone's private property, neither of you would have a problem with it?

Ni@@er is a noun in the English language, most notable for its usage in a pejorative context to refer to black people, and also as an informal slang term, among other contexts.
The word "bitch" has long been in use to refer to a woman in contempt, as shown in an 1811 dictionary which describes bitch as "the most offensive appellation that can be given to an English woman, even more provoking than that of whore."
Do you idiots get the point now? One is referring to black people (plural) and the other is used to refer to a woman (singular).

I agree, hatred is never a good response. However, I believe that, just as there are degrees of love, there are degrees of hate. I love my pets, but I love my friends more, but I love my mother more still... Similarly, there are degrees of hatred. I think the hatred that has a long history behind it is worse than hatred that doesn't. We can't just erase history and say "none of that matters anymore, everything is fair game because we're all equal!" It just doesn't work that way. Ideally it would, but it doesn't. Bigotry persists, regardless of whether we want it to or not; ignoring it solves nothing.
To echo what Buck said, I will offer up an example. If you showed an effigy of Palin being hung to a bunch of white women, most would probably find it distasteful (probably extremely). If you showed an effigy of Obama being hung to a bunch of black men, they'd presumably find it extremely distasteful as well. Which group do you think would be angrier?

Have you ever called someone who was AA a ni@@er? Ever called someone a bitch?
You are implying the both words are equally bad and you are wrong. You can play stupid all day but it doesn't change the fact that an effigy of a black man in KY is worse than one of a white woman in CA. Both are in poor taste and should be removed but one is MUCH worse due to the way AA were treated not that long ago in states such as KY.

My family migrated to the US after slavery. You will not find any white man's guilt here. I see ALL derogatory speech/jokes/ideas as equal.

Have YOU ever called your fellow AA a ni@@er? I mean shit, the most racist people I've experienced growing up in LA were blacks. White kids were too scared to be bigots, but blacks appeared to have a golden ticket to go turrets on crackers and chinks. Made no sense to me.
