The GF4 DOES NOT SUPPPORT PIXEL SHADERS, the game does. They did not want to code support for cards that can't handle pixel shaing. ATI supported them a generation earlier than Nvidia. Why is that not acceptable?

Because it's stupid to make it an absolute requirement. And the GF4 does have pixel shaders, just not version 1.4.
So they want to only have a certain level of pixel shaders, fine, disable shaders entirely and let me play a crappy looking game if I don't have a card that supports it.
I simply can't accept that the GF4 is so old that it's time to eliminate support for it.
Incidentally, hasn't this game been in development for longer than the GF6-series has been available? So they only had the poor FX-series even able to support this requirement, did they plan to make it so only the very newest, latest chipset at the time could play their game?

It's fun but too game-ish. I'm more of a simulation dude myself.
Anyways, I enjoy the helis.
And being a sniper and crash landing on the USMC aircraft carrier, climbing to the top and putting claymores at the top of the ladders I used. Setting up shop and popping Marines head first off the boat while know one knows where I am. shhhhhhh

It's really just more of the same so far. Feels like BF:Vietnam just with modern weapons. The squad features are pretty nice though. I need to get a good headphone mic to see how that works.

Everyone knows the rear of a tank is the least protected and several dead on shots to them still did nothing. Firing at APCs in a tank takes three rounds to destroy them. Is this realistic? I figured one shot from a tank to an APC and it was toast but apparently not.
2): It requires and absurd amount of effort to kill anybody. Apparently soldiers and enemies in the BF2 world have Kevlar coated SKIN and full body armor because the hit indicator would light up repeatedly yet the bastards would not die. It seemed not to matter what weapon I chose they wouldn't go down. Sniping was a joke.
3): Tanks seem weak as usual with little splash damage. Even when they fire they sound more like pop guns!

I played the demo at various times this weekend. I did enjoy it for the most part but I didn't have that same feeling of gaming nirvana I had when I first played BF:1942's Wake demo.
BF2 did piss me off in several ways:

Don't get me wrong there were several things I enjoyed like the assault boats, variety of vehicles and kits. I hope the retail version is more polished and/or a patch takes care of some of the issues that are evident.

This always happens in war games. I agree with you but the problem is, no one will ever be totally happy. If the anti tank guns worked in one shot like they should, the tank drivers would bitch and moan.
If the soliders died instantly, like they should (I agree with you), then people would complain that they die too easily. I too found myself unloading clips on people with little effect, even at close range.
I compare it to the nades in CS:S. If you've played you know you can run straight into a nade as it explodes and keep on going. If it were realistic you would have your face blown off.
