Disappointed with the Graphics of PS4 and Xbox One

That article is full of crap. Look at how poorly the ps3 sold then tell me that last gen sold better.

The sell through of ps4 consoles in the first week is 80% higher than the first 3 months of ps3. Also nobody is buying the ps4 or xb1 as an alternative to a chromecast. That is just stupid to say. Since a chromecast doesnt do all the same stuff.

If anyone needs their eyes checked that would be you. The fact is you even showed the difference between muddy looking washed out textures in beginning of this thread. Xbox 360 vs Xboxone. Contradiction? To me, the xbox 360 looks flat in comparsion to the one. Well... the same can be said when the xbox360 vs other superior hardware. Or the One/PS4 vs superior hardware.

Yeah cause every game looks like CoD with a decade old engine. I am not saying ganes cant loom better i am saying that games on consoles dont always look like crap like you and many elitists want to believe.

Most people that buy consoles buy them to play games. Everyone knows you can buy a smart tv for those streaming apps. The new systems just came out, if this was a year later and you posted that article, maybe it would be somewhat valid but for right now it doesn't make any sense.

The games kind of suck right now. That's...just a fact.

There's not a whole lot in the pipe either. Maybe by Q3/Q4, but as a whole, this is not a "blockbuster" year.
Personally and anecdotally, that's why I haven't bothered. I had set aside enough money to buy both by Christmas, with a few games each, and just couldn't bring myself to do it. Nothing much around the corner either, so why bother?

But lets' be real: It's simply a slow (half?)year. The games will come. The PS3 had an abysmal first few months, with "Nier" being the first really hyped early game. Just a sample of how desperate times were. But I think it's safe to say the sales and games came through for the PS3.
There's simply no doubt. And as soon as they do, the sales will be right back on track, and we'll look back at topics like this and laugh.

I am having a lot of fun with my Xbox One, and there are several games I am enjoying very much. Titanfall, Forza 5, Madden, Ryse, Killer Instinct, Garden Warfare, Tomb Raider... Even Peggle 2 is a lot of fun.

So, perhaps you think they suck (regardless of whether or not you've actually played them), but that doesn't make it "a fact."

they lack the power of a semi modern pc
and they lack the library
they are competing with their own legacy devices in a time its hard to find something that doesnt play games
a box..black box for 500 that idles under the tv like their $100 box

I've played them all but Garden Warfare (sorry, but no..), Titanfall, and Peggle 2 (again...no)

A Madden game with a few small graphical tweaks, update of a year old game that looks marginally better, Ryse (which admittedly I played for an hour or so, but most everyone outside of this forum finds mediocre; it's saving grace being it's pretty and a launch title).
I'm a sucker for Forza, but considering all the DLC I invested in Forza 4 (including the massive Porsche car pack), it simply doesn't offer enough for a full price investment right now. KI was a blast though, and I wasn't even too huge a fan of the original.

Don't take it personally, but even what you named there, there's only 2-3 that are exclusive or offer a leap worthy of a $500 investment.

The system is still selling well.

Anyway inFamous and MLB the show are enough right now for me to recommend a ps4 to anyone who asks. Having seen inFamous gameplay it really is looking killer. I am familiar with the show so adding better player models, more models for the fans in the stands and more detailed stadiums with better player and ball physics is enough to me.

I think after some people see inFamous they will be that much more interested in the ps4. If titanfall grabs enough attention from players for an extended time, i think it can be a boon for the xb1 too even if it is on pc and 360.

And your kindle wouldnt play all these games we mentioned nor that $100 box you mentioned either.you keep trying to compare these consoles with a roku or something but these do so much more than a roku ever could. Try again.

Again it's subjective. I have a good pc I built to play games that I want to play which consoles don't have. You don't have to have one and no one is telling you that you should like consoles.

If you are a gamer you won't care about this stuff and most people at least here have both high end pc's and consoles.

And yea kindle fire will play games if you are only into those type of games. Most people don't buy a console to play games you can find on your phone or tablet.

hey since you seem to know so much about pc gaming, could you build me one that will play killer instinct, ryse, knack, and killzone? those are the only 4 ps4/x1 games i own right now, but since you seem to be so into pc and the games are better on pc, could you build me a pc that will play those games?

while we're at it, can you show me where on the google play or amazon store those games are as well so i could play them on my kindle or my nexus 7?

there is nothing that screams next gen or one of a kind experience

Well you were saying there's nothing interesting. Infamous second son gameplay and graphics is great. I guarantee people are going to enjoy that game after seeing the 1hr live stream.

The other games you need to have an interest in since they are niche but there are exclusives worth playing. Knack is fun, outlast is too and was free on psn last month.

to invest in the system says as much about what isnt available than is
why would anyone buy the sys for those games? there are superior examples of them on just about every other platform
