i agree. this is one of the main reasons why i dont post anything serious in OT anymore. You pretty much know how the replies are gonna go before you even post...and most of those replies wont be helpful

Yeah, I could make two threads on consecutive days, one stating one position, and the next day one stating the opposite. The same people will rip on me for holding either position. I don't think this forum is the WORST for petty hatred, but it's definitely not the bastion of fun it used to be.

That's why I don't go there. I'd prefer not to go to a forum where people with absolutley no knowledge of world history or any critical thinking abilities post.
