I just talked to a CSR about my shipping (I used my own FedEx and entered
"Fedex Ground" for the method, which got truncated to Fedex...wanted to
make sure they were going to use Fedex Ground...which they were as it turns
out).
Anyway, I asked about the rebates. She told me they just had a meeting
with their supervisor, who told them that he'd been told:
1) All rebates are valid if your purchase is valid and you honor the terms
of the rebates. I said: "Do you know there are supposedly FIVE rebates
that apply to this system?" She answered: "Yes, all FIVE rebates."
(I ignored the $50 service rebate).
2) The 80gb hard drive does NOT disqualify your hard drive rebate.
3) One qualifying purchase per person for the student program. No limit on
qualifying purchases for EPP. Qualifying purchase means qualifying for
rebate. They will ship out as many as you ordered, but the limit for
the student program applies to rebates.
FWIW,

Awesome, Kwad. I keep seeing more and more posts that would lead me to believe the Holiday and Earlybird rebates will, in fact, be honored.Originally posted by: Kwad Guy

Then my parents who use aol get 6 free months:
- $144 (I'm not going to make them pay me, I just like justifying it this way)
= $10.60

Spendy... I might stick with the 256MB for a little while.
2 free RIMM slots... they have to go in pairs though... which sucks
No, this order was placed before they started offering the 9700TX. It has the GF4 Ti4200. The second system I ordered has a 9700TX in it, but I won't get that for a while.Originally posted by: Schnieds
jreg,
Does the system that you have now have the ATI 9700TX in it?
