Well I think that I am done for the night... =) I will dream sweet dreams of a P4 2.4 Ghz; ATI 9700 TX; and 120GB 8MB HD for $400.00

To all those who got in on the deal, I hope that we all have some good luck with the rebates...

To all those who didn't, I'm sure that there will be some deal soon that will make those of us who did get in on the deal wish that we would have held out. =)

I think we will need to start a thread on the best way to deal with the rebates whether to send them all at once or get different packing slips then send them one by one or what.

I need a simple HTML webpage with some tables so I can list the URLs for the Dell rebates and my mirror backups of the rebates (in case Dell yanks or changes the rebate forms)?

Please PM me the HTML code, thanks.

You've got PM. Tell me if that was something like you were looking for

has anyone tried this on the 4550 desktop? the rebate forms show like $450 worth of rebates for the 4550.

dont want to deal with upgrading expensive rd ram and i want the rig for my dad and that 9700tx for my 2nd rig.

i read the rebate form and it only has the date on it. i think its valid til 12 midnight pst for us californians.

-show (1 hour left to order)

The two $100 rebates both say to enclose 1 rebate per envelope when submitting multiple rebates. The other three don't mention it, but I would assume they want them seperate as well. That's a ton of packing slips though.

I read somewhere else that you can send the first three rebates all at once, they talked to a csr about it. I don't know about the other two. But the three main ones you can send all at once, I'd rather go with all original packing slips instead of copies, but I think Dell charges 7$ to mail one to you??

So is the Radeon 9700TX just built on a core that wouldnt do the 275mhz and only 260mhz. Might have to call Dell tomorrow and change my order if this is true.

After some poor thinking, I should've gone for the video card upgrade...is it possible to call up a CSR tomorrow and change my order? And also, how much was the upgrade again?

They will probably have to cancel your order, issue a new order but you'll have a new order date of 11/27/2002 voiding your rebates.

The 9700TX is $133 more than the GF4 MX, and they should be able to modify your order if you call tomorrow.

i got in on this with 2 minutes to spare...literally. But, even though i set the right options, they magically changed when i got my confirmation...they gave me the ram upgrade. I emailed them telling them to modify the order, but I really hope that that will not change the purchase date on the invoice.

ok, so is there any actual, 100% confirmation that all the rebates are valid, and if so, for who? and has anyone figured out a way to find out what schools are actually accepted and what ones aren't? this is very important info for some of us, because even though i'm attending a couple diff. schools right now with classes at each, it doesn't mean sh*t if they're not accepted.

It doesn't matter at this point, the deal is dead --- rebates ended yesterday 11/26/02...

It definately matters. If someone gets 100% confirmation that from someone that knows what they are talking about that we can't use these rebates together, there's going to be a lot of cancellations today.

Good question bonk102

What I meant is that it doesn't matter if you haven't ordered yet, because it's too late to place new orders - that's all I was referring too.... I wasn't dissing his question, just pointing out that the deal is now officially dead.

I hope the rebates work out for everyone who got in on this deal... I was kicking myself this morning for not taking a chance myself - oh well, good luck to everyone who pulled the trigger!

yes the deal is dead, but for those of us who did get in on it, and are students or teachers, we would like to know if we are getting this deal, i ordered a system that's going to come to almost $700 AFTER rebates, so yeah, i'd really like to know if these rebates'll come in or not
