I take issue with calling Trump's methods duplicitous when he just gave the conservative base exactly what they wanted. For some years the GOP establishment had been moving away from straight up racism due to the demographic tide, but trump & pals sure set them (& the country) right.

"For the comment to be considered an obscenity, it must meet a three-tier test as determined by the Supreme Court. The FCC’s official definition reads as follows: “It must appeal to an average person’s prurient interest; depict or describe sexual conduct in a ‘patently offensive’ way; and, taken as a whole, lack serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value.”

His comment was definitely political so unless the FCC does hatchet job, (which they very well might) he should skate on the fine.
 
its like those mohammed cartoon spectacles in europe som years back.. just instead of talibans and salifists being butthurt its the big orange and the conservative crowd. When you think about it the right/alt-right sort of IS american analogs to talibans.
