I think the way Trump continues to conduct himself, continually slurring Obama, apparently keeping Carter from receiving an award, how he talks about judges and the media, etc. Completely eliminates any baseline respect the office by itself should command. I thought Colbert crossed the line some with Bush, especially when he did the White House Corespondents Dinner, but I can't see there being a line to cross with Trump.

I don't know if there's a threshold to civil war with the total deterioration of respect.

But what Colbert says about Trump-holster coincides with the respect I give Trump and all his supporters.

They're all lolly-gagging c***-suckers, and they all think, because they captured the Electoral College while continuing thereafter to spit in the faces of more than half the public, that we "owe" them respect for Trump's ["so-called" -- don't forget to use original Trumpisms] Presidency -- I mean presidency. With a little p and a lot of pee.

These are the feelings that the opposition or other third-party voters probably stuff and suppress. They WANT the system to work. They WANT votes to count. They BELIEVE in the collective wisdom of Common Man inspiration. But they inwardly, profoundly feel disgust every time so-called Ppresident Asshole appears on the TV.

We must bow down and respect the disgusting Filth in the White House and his First double-Red-star Ho-Lady and chief tongue-in-cheek plagiarist. Be-cause . . . . "We WON the election." Well, Pilgrim. My family has variously been in this country since 1690 and 1850. Trump from his grandfather is "just visiting" in comparison, and on a much wider field of view, his supporters have sold us all out and "down the river."

Now it comes down to things Trump has finally mentioned, as if the topic and issue is real: The Downfall of Beulah-Land, which they may now inwardly insist has risen again to hold court in various Sessions. Tie a Stars and Bars to your car's bumper, and drag it down the freeway, I say!

Kids? Ask your parents why they voted for Vladimir Trump the Cock-holster. And practice spitting on pictures of King Asshole himself. Let Slip the Dogs of War, I say, if this Scum is in office after 2025. If you ask me, that's waiting too goddam long.
So, how do you really feel? :)

This is exactly it. If a conservative host said it, they'd be outraged. Liberal dude says it, it's ok. Same thing happens around here all the time.

It's not the first time for him, he's made racist comments in the past. Which are just fine because he's not a conservative. Typical hypocritical left.

People should be upset by the comment no matter which way they lean.

Link the racist comments so that we might know what you're talking about.

Some black guy here talking about faggots, bitches and whatnot.

Colbert is a smart dude and he is willing to go the distance. He is playing one specific get-out-of-jail-free card here; The Pussygrabber - and this card does not get worn out either, if he gets away with this its open friggin season on the big orange.. i(which is why I dont think we have seen the last of this "a line has been crossed" campaign from the right, they cant let it stand)

I didn't even take it as homophobic, that amounts to the usual current day far right spin to grab on whatever they can to try and attribute their heinous qualities to anyone viewed as left leaning, so much as a statement of controller/controlled.

Trump's mouth being Putin's cock holster is a statement of him being Putin's stooge and inferior to him. A patsy Putin cultivated and aided in putting in place with Russia's hacking/fake news endeavors to give Putin a better position against US interests. A relationship that in certain circumstances can be reflected by being the receiver of a phallus within one's orifice.

WTF does Chris Rock have to do with this thread?

are you going to start linking to Daniel Tosh, Eddie Murphy and George Carlin clips next?

Its comedy. Its about faggots. I think the analog applies. If gay jokes get you riled up, there is plenty of material to get offended by. Like this. You will probably be offended alone though.

I mean.. I wouldnt want to set you off on purpose or anything (ima gonna talk about the leg next).

There is the water .. cant make you drink it though.

hey dumbass, my first post in this thread was...

"the other big problem is that he is a comedian and he can joke about whatever the hell he wants."

you are literally attacking your own view.

if i had been sarcastic and you misread it i would understand, but it appears that you are just being antagonistic to be antagonistic.

And I posted a video of a comedian predating colbert with some of the same material, thus backing up that point.
For some reason Chris Rock pissed you off, I have no idea why, I thought the analog and relevance was obvious... And reviewing the evidence I think you will find yourself to be the instigating party.

so my point stands, "are you going to start linking to Daniel Tosh, Eddie Murphy and George Carlin clips next?"

this thread is about Colbert making fun of Trump and Fox News being offended.

throwing out any random comedian being offensive isn't making any point that hadn't already been made.

Chris Rock saying lovely human isn't even comparable to what Colbert said.

There is a good chance he may now. Trump has shown celebrity status is a good thing. There are fairly serious rumors Oprah will run, Kanye said it (laughable but who knows), and I *think* George Clooney.
Colbert understands the workings of PAC money. I wouldn't say its impossible.

Ignoring all the Trump non sense, above is what concerns me about last election and the obvious lack of any care about a candidate even remotely telling the truth.
Colbert has the one trait that prevents his run: humility.
I would wager he is one of the people who knows he should not be president.

Oh dear. The morally upright and politically loathsome are offended by proxy from comments made about Trump the Cowardly Cockholster?

"Fuck your feelings" sums it up for me.

Trumptards and Fox Noise getting uptight about decorum and name calling, that is just too funny. It's almost like they don't realize how effectively they've banished their own right to bitch about this kind of thing. Poor snowflakes, this critical thinking stuff is hard huh?

I didnt hear a single word that could be taken as offensive or any of the *phobics or *ist's.

Much ado about nothing

I'm not sure. In addition to providing some comic relief, there is a secondary effect of people now wondering why this has some on the right sounding outraged over perceived homophobia...yet when it comes to anti-gay legislation or worse, where is that outrage? Seems like another speech vs action divide in their reasoning, such as it is.

Whatever. Too bad they couldn't Engage Snowflake Mode back early last year. They'd have more credibility and self-respect, and we probably wouldn't have an uneducated, demented Russian stooge as PoTUS. Win win.

I think the outrage is more along the lines of being hypocrites. It's seems to be acceptable for Left leaning people to say any racist, homophobic, sexist, or xenophobic comment they wish as long as it's directed towards right leaning individuals.

This is pretty good evidence that the degenerates are liars in addition to that list.

Conservative men spend more time preoccupied with gay sex acts than most gay men do.

See also: Mike Pence.
