In complete agreement.

I often sit stunned that more of his followers aren't seeing it and raging against it. I try to understand the party loyalty aspect of it, even the joy they feel at sticking it to the opposition just for the sake of sticking it to them but their very freedoms are being stomped on and a large chunk of what is being done for them doesn't even line up with what they were asking for or think they want. The things that do line up with what they want from this Cockholster are butchered and bastardized to the point that it will hurt them. Their loyalty is confounding and exhausting.

It's absurd to be offended by Colbert only because the opposition was so offended by the grabbing comment (for different reasons all together I might add... Inappropriate words versus inappropriate actions). I dare them to compare the two because Trump said he did such things regarding women. To do so in this case would suggest that Colbert was talking about actions taken... Putin's business all up in Trump's mouth.

Any way can't believe this is even a thing not because it wasn't inappropriate but because if it is, fine him and move the hell on. ... OR give him the Presidency, that is after all what Trump got for guys inappropriateness.

I will say one thing though, the daily show, the late night show and co. while being comedy shows they are also reporting the news, the cover that "But I am comedy central, no standards apply to me" sort of is in the grey area, it may have started out as comedy but now you have a huge following tuning into what *you* are saying. I am willing to bet good money that many people get their news solely from said sources, just as some people will get their news solely from fox breitbart and infotards. Both sides excuse themselves with not being "real news" - so they get to get away with stuff.

I'm not gay, but I don't find Colbert's remark "anti gay".

A. If Hillary had been elected and seen as submissive to Putin, the remark would have been merely considered in bad taste. (not hate speech)
B. Gay folk don't own oral sex. Being subservient with "ass kissing" or "BJ" is a pretty common insult. The fact this subservient servicing is intra-gender rather then inter-gender is secondary to the subservient aspect of the joke.

I think the joke was in bad taste, but not hate speech or derogatory to any specific group. It's a reach to overlook the subservient aspect to assume Colbert's meaning was "Trump and Putin enjoy gay sex, which is distasteful".
