i woulda walked out to my car grabbed Ol'Blue(4D cell mag light) and done something, even if i got my butt kicked.
It's like watching 2 wildabeasts.... pffft.... I see this kind of crap all the time having worked in the worst parts of the city. At one point in my life I was itching for something to happen so I could take out all my aggression. I'd beat the sh!t out of the female in the video as well if I had the opportunity. And yeah I have to agree, "certain" stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason... sick of the moral police who come out and say oh well not all blah blah blah.... honestly, unless you have experience with fights and violence....the whole situation would have gone by very fast and ended before you know it.
looking at the video from your computer desk, it looks like there was plenty of time to react, but in reality most people would have been to stunned to even move (probably myself included). look at the video, most people didn't even budge.

that first punch sure was a haymaker. i'm sorry, i didn't catch it on the video - did the punchee have friends in the store? wow, either way I couldn't believe the apathy in both facial expressions and body language of the other people in there. it's like they were all fight doctors for 25 years or something.
that black dude was huge. if i was a complete stranger to everyone, i would at least be yelling STOP IT YOU FVCKING COWARD but at the same time getting ready to run. he'd probably pull out the glock and put a cap in my ass as i ran away but maybe punching bag boy would have been safe for the time being.
i've helped friends out that were being outnumbered and as a result been beat up pretty bad. it sucks when you are holding your own, maybe even winning a scrap, and then you get a few haymakers from your blind spot and get beat up anyway.

It's an unfortunate truth I think. Some people never get taught "not to hit" other kids.
UFC is kinda different. They fight for fun/money. Those guys def don't spend all their time training and all that to just for money, there's got to be some enjoyment there.

reminds me of something i saw last spring at this bar....this looney literally takes 4 or 5 steps(yes steps not feet) winding up and throws the biggest haymaker i've ever seen on this kid that was not even looking in his direction. It caught him on the side of his mouth by his chin. He went flying to the ground blood everywhere. What kind of pu$$y takes a 4-5 step wind up for a blindsided cheapshot? absolutely rediculous.

I have no fvcking idea what I would have done. I probably would have just stood there like a dumbass, just like everyone else. Trying to think of what to do, but coming up with something to late to matter.
The best idea I could come up with...hit him over the head with a nearby chair. And honestly...I think it would have taken me to long to get my sh|t together on that one.
And Ilmater...I know you said you would help. But you said yourself you were what...6'9" 300lbs? Frankly there's probably not a guy you could run into at that size that you'd look at and think "No way in hell can I win this." I'm neither big nor strong...if I'm going after that guy, its going to be a brutal unfair hit that he isn't ready for...because my only chance is to fvck him up so bad with the first hit that my weak ass has a chance of finishing him off.

I don't know about you but I'd rather get a beatdown than get tossed in jail for murder even though I didn't start the fight.
they just showed this movie on the Today show >_< ... according to them, the guy got 3 years in jail, and the girlfriend goes on trial next month
In this case, there is no clear intent that the guy was going to murder the victim. If a person pulled out a knife and tried to kill someone every time a fight was being lost, I would think the victim even if he didn't instigate the fight would be arrested for murder. If the attacker had a knife or weapon himself, then I think pulling a knife would be justified. You also have to take into account that you can be arrested for carrying a concealed weapon like a knife in a lot of places. Again I'd rather get the beatdown than spend 90 days in jail or whatever for carrying a concealed weapon for something I didn't start.

I've seen it happen too. It's lame, but that's what punks are all about these days. Or, coax you into a scrap and then 3 more punks show up out of nowhere to circle kick you.
