"Tea Party groups roundly condemned Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa after he called on union supporters unhappy with congressional Republicans to "take these son-of-a-bitches out."

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/09/06/tea-party-groups-condemn-hoffa-sob-remark/

Oh, and "Asked about Hoffa's comments Tuesday, Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz declined to condemn them."

:hmm: I think what he meant by "take these son-of-a-bitches out" is that he wants to take them all out to dinner? :D

Oh I remember the call for civility. I also remember Obama and company lashing out at Bush's deficits. My how the tables turn.

Now they say the country cannot function without at least more than $2 trillion a year in deficit. They actually think it's a matter of life or death to jump off the cliff with our currency. They may be correct, but in the wrong direction. They are forcing us off a cliff to our doom. Now they say this in their attempt to ensure it.

They want extreme action to match their extreme rhetoric.

There cannot be civility without reason. When you have sheep happily grazing while the gears of war grind ever harder all around them, it is only a matter of time before their wool is fair game. And their skins too. People are just too stupid and manipulated to understand anything other than war. Breakdown is inevitable.

The comments of that piece are a delight given the condescension and harumphing involved.

Here's a gem from a couple minutes ago:

The Big Mick said:
There is no bigger bunch of NI &&ERS in The Republic than the PROTECTION RACKET GANG Union Thugs.
And THIS POS be de BOSS NI &&GER. I sincerely hope his "war" DOES go "hot". I greet with joy the prospect of standing him and his ilk up against The Wall and letting "the shotguns sing the song."

Bless you, hateful loners. Bless you from an atheist.

And don't forget Maxine Waters's words of love to the Tea Party a couple weeks ago. Such love and tolerance for diverse viewpoints.

What were you expecting, 'Thank you, Jimmy Jr! May I have another? I deserve your righteous hatred! Come! I will bow down before you that you may crush my unworthy skull with your jackboot of holy vengence!'

Ah, so that response is justified. Good to know.

Also, thanks for the veiled Godwin.

Here’s what Hoffa said, “Everybody here’s got to vote. If we go back and keep the eye on the prize, let’s take these son of a bitches out and give America back to America where we belong! Thank you very much!”

Apparently, the treatment for a circle-jerk is a dose of context.

I can't presume to know what the person meant but I do know that folk see what they want to see which is usually something in the other person they don't like about themselves. Assholes, for example would be motivated to see in an opposing party how the members in it are assholes themselves. They do this to justify their own assholeness. You can't hate a fellow human being and very few people will notice themselves as assholes so one fines THE OTHER and make them out to be inhuman monsters undeserving of any respect for having a different opinion. It is this pressure to conform to group norms and demonize others that turns people into nasty sheep and ditto heads, vigilante packs and mobs. We have here, for example, a bunch of right wingers gathered to chortle over the nastiness of liberals.

If I were to judge what the person meant, I would say this:

The right wing, under the sway of the uncompromising idiologs known as the tea party are destroying the nation with their irrationality so our only option is to take them out at the polls.

I believe this statement is true and while I believe that the country will be better off when all these right wing idiots are dead, I see that only as factual data not a course of action. Every one of these 'idiots to me' that are destroying the country do so because it's what they believe is right and think I'm the real idiot.

All you can do is try to present the best reasons you can for the truth of what you believe and hope for the best.

Of course, in the case of the right particularly, in my opinion, huge sums of money are spent every day to warp people's thinking. This is easy to do because very few people are personally sufficiently secure to challenge everything they were conditioned to believe. There is only one kind or real education and it's unlearning everything you know, but sheep just want to belong.

Liberals are getting very scared and desperate, you can tell by the number of outbursts they've had against The People.

Yes liberals, it is time to get in the streets and "get a little bloody". This is all the left has - insults and threats of violence. You can almost smell the desperation. Yes Biden, you are about to be "let loose" and it's going to be epically funny and embarassing for you.

No. They are never fair game. They have no fault. No sheep is a sheep that had any choice in being a sheep any more than you had a chance to have any sense yourself. They are never ever fair game but they will be eaten by the same kind of unconscious hate they exude. They are never fair game but they may one day be ground up by the psychosis of a sleeping machine. Break down is inevitable for a humanity that will not awaken but nothing at all but yourself is holding you back. Only the individual can free himself.

My my, how sad that those thousands and thousands of Tea Party'ers that threatened to use their second amendment rights to take back THEIR country from that black Kenyan Muslim socialist commie no-birth certificate foreign born fella and those other Tea Party'ers who threatened to secede from the good 'ol USofA because a Democrat illegally took over THEIR White House must be all hurt and insulted because of their sensitive, compassionate and caring nature.

Man, I nearly passed out from LMAO over this. This is just so much fun.

Are you serious man? You honestly think there is nothing out of line with that statement?

Surely you jest.

Everybody here’s got to vote. If we go back and keep the eye on the prize, let’s take these son of a bitches out...
Clearly, he is saying 'murder them.' No fucking way he means vote them out of office, that would make way too much sense.

And stop calling me Shirley!

So just so we are clear, there is nothing wrong at all with what he said? Perfectly acceptable, especially after the call for civility? At the very least, you find nothing wrong with publicly calling a politcal opponent a son of a bitch?
