Ran Seti for ~1200WU's until I lost all my computing power, SoB for ~800G until they had the problems w/ SSE2 and my system ran it like ass, so I figure what the hell - P4 2.4B on the way as soon as I get home from work! :D

I'm guessing all of them.
No, I mean other programs downloaded in Zip form, unzipped (minus a directory, or two), and then setup... Hmmmmm...

Let's get that part into the install instructions eh? That's HUGE.
Thanks for sticking with it -- and for identifying the problem!

ah! I thought you were specifying for this program b/c others in this thread commented as having similar problems.

as on the bigger scale, you don't see too many programs now a days without being packaged into an installer of some sort. In fact when I get home I may package this up into one so problems won't arise like this anymore. for this specific program.

I put it in my mini instructions if you'll like to include them in your OP.

GtPrOjEcTX,

That's an outstanding idea. Perhaps you could hook up with Overkiller to publish a TeAm link for newcomers!

While doing so... if you're expending the effort anyway - how about making it write the user.txt file so that all they have to put in is their name - and it will concatenate the "[TA]" automatically? This will have the additional useful feature of negating the install for anyone but TA. ;)

Great work!

edit:
I've PM'd Overkiller to come over to this thread... and to coordinate efforts with you. Thanks again! :D

Yes, the only way to stop it is via taskmanager.

Also, if you check ur config.txt file, there is an auto-save interval. I belive it is set to 4 minutes standard (in seconds). Reduce this amount if you like (not usually necessary :) ). So if you cancel it 2 minutes after the last save u will only lose 2 minutes of work. so not a terrible amount!

Also, remember that different versions save to different auto-save files and you CANNOT cross-use auto-save files!!

Hope i've helped!

Hey guys!!

i see i've arrived late to the party :(

I'm updating the guide now w/ all the information we have learned over the past month from all the new users. Please check out my guide and help me make it better!!!

I am trying to make this the most thorough guide for any project :)

Great work GTProjectX!!

and if you could get something like that working that would be great. Also as DanC said w/ a user.txt file already there w/ [TA] so all they would have to do is put their name after the [TA] that would be great!!

let me know if i can help w/ ANYTHING :)

Hmmmm... That WOULD be nice. The mods are a little peeved at me for my NEF stunt a couple of days ago - but I could snivel and beg. ;)

Alright, here's some new installers:

[*]Muon 4.33a for Windows 95/98/2000/XP Mirror 1 Mirror 2
[*]Muon 4.33a for Windows NT Mirror 1 Mirror 2
[*]Muon 4.34 for Windows 95/98/2000/XP Mirror 1 Mirror 2
[*]Muon 4.34 for Windows 2000/XP for users with Dual CPUs or Hyperthreading Mirror 1 Mirror 2
[*]Muon 4.34 for Windows NT Mirror 1 Mirror 2

Feel free to add a third mirror, Wolfsraider.

BTW, the added 3rd installer for v.4.34 (Muon_4.34_HT_Installer.exe) is the exact same thing as the regular 4.34 installer but in the config file it is set to 2 threads already.

Pretty simple, just download the correct one, run it, install where you want, and at the end, view the readme (which is the user.txt file) and change it to your nick, save it and run it from the created start menu item in the DPAD folder.

:beer::D
now available for download.

Is this a service install, or just a normal one, oh and I can't download the NT one.
