Great news n0cmonkey! :D Yeah hopefully they're working on a linux client! DPAD runs with wine...but I've never tried it, so don't know if it'll behave! Hope to see you soon! :D

What??? You think nuclear waste is more important than aliens???? If we discover aliens, they will just give us the technology to do away with nuclear waste!

nuclear waste
Ahhh... actually it's not nuclear waste.

Excerpted from Stephen Brooks site:

the neutrino is just about the most common particle in the universe (billions pass through your body every second) and its mass will influence such things as the evolution of the universe and the exact way matter was first formed in the 'big bang'. In fact, neutrinos make up one quarter of the types of matter particles specified in the current 'standard model' of physics. In order to progress to more advanced theories of physics, it is often crucial to know the properties of particles to high precision in order to distinguish between the slightly different predictions of alternative theories.

In short... It's science. ;)

If ur still interested...how about trying to unzip it to another folder, and try and run run the muon1_cmdline or the muon1_background again.

It may be a windows prob, but pleaze don't flame me for saying this...:)

It's great, so please put in a little effort to get it going...:D and Pleaze ask if you've got any more question! :D

The reason it "crashed" is that you're attempting to run the graphical version.

Try muon1_background or muon1_cmdline...

The graphic version - while "pretty" isn't very efficient - and crashes alot on certain systems.
That's all that it is. :)

Already tried muon1_background.exe with different a folder name. That was the third crash. Moved the folder to drive C:, and it crashed there, too. At least it doesn't take the whole OS with it.

Ornery, This is somewhat bizarre.

What OS are you running - and which version of the client? Also -- did you check your task manager to be sure there wasn't an errant instance of it running already? That also could produce the effect you're seeing.

btw, I ran the background one. I'm assuming only way to kill it is through task manager right? Will that hurt any process then being processed in the prog?
