Well it's nice that you are upfront about what's important in the abortion debate. Punishing women for sex. It's been fairly obvious that's what it's about from the conservative side but so many others simply refuse to come straight out and say it.

Shaming will just make some women, especially young women hide their pregnancies and abortions. Probably see an up tick in teens leaving newborns in the trash too since many are trying to hide themselves from judgemental relgious parents in the first place.

Instead and in addition to comprehensive education and easy access to birth control society could make raising a child easier and drop the shame so the decision to remain pregnant was easier.

Yeah, one of the things which would make raising a child easier would be (a) not aborting it and (b) not enabling the persons who have them.

So stop with the bullshit about wanting abortion to be "rare." If that were true you wouldn't be making stupid arguments like it's "about punishing women for sex." I don't give a shit about how much sex anyone has and with who, but what I do care about is the person having sex BEING FUCKING IRRESPONSIBLE, not using contraception, and then resorting to killing to cover up their irresponsibility. When you do a selfish and stupid thing you should be shamed - abortion, saying racist things, skipping out on child support, being homophobic, all will get legions of social media mobs with pitchforks and torches but one and why is that? Because you want to enable one kind of bad behavior.

no babies have been killed
Continue with your dehumanization plan. It isn't working with me.
The excessive shaming of the poor decisions that led to them becoming pregnant that Glenn has a boner for was the punishment I was referring to.
Women should feel shame when they abort their babies, period. If you aren't ashamed of an abortion then there is something wrong with you.
This sentence doesn't say what you think it does.

In point of fact I do think it's reprehensible to kill the most helpless, but 1st trimester abortions don't do that and late term abortions are generally done for health reasons.
Further dehumanization.
What is reprehensible is believing that medical abortion kills a child while natural spontaneous abortion does not.
Who could you be talking about? I don't believe that.

And let's be honest, a big part of the so-called "abortion" debate isn't about the actual procedure itself. It's actually about protecting women from shame which they rightfully deserve for the bad choices that put them in the position of being pregnant and the pure selfishness they exhibit in using abortion to bail them out of that situation.

Jesus, dude. Laying all your cards on the table, aren't you? :\

This is vile.

So you are morally outraged at miscarriages? That's weird.
And you're for honest discourse? I'm not morally outraged when people die of heart attacks but I am when people deliberately kill them. There is no moral question when there is no deliberate action.

A fetus IS a baby, a specific class of babies. I will continue using the term as it is accurate and avoids the death mongers obvious dehumanizing tactics.

I kill millions of babies every time I ejaculate, what an utter monster I am. I should be shamed by Christianity for the genocide I have decided to engage in. I probably have killed a billion babies in my lifetime.

Having sex, even without contraception, is not irresponsible. It breaches no duty. If an unwanted pregnancy occurs, terminating it *IS* taking responsibility for it. It restores the status quo ante.

The difference between my position and yours is that you just don't like women having sexual agency equal to men. It is your right to hold this impotent opinion, of course, but you shouldn't be at all surprised when the rest of cultured society rightfully points out what an asshole you are.

Have you considered that if a group of people have historically always been on the wrong side of "shame" that they're really bad at determining it?

I mean, these are the same misogynists who think homosexuality is shameful, and generally racist before that.

They do have sexual agency equal to men. Do you think that I would let men who father the aborted fetuses off the hook for abortion shaming? And plus since men have ZERO SAY on whether women get an abortion or not it's kinda funny you're asking for equality in a situation that has no equality whatsoever.

There's a reason why pro-lifers are near exclusively abrahamic.

Just as with creationism & everything antiquated these ideas'll soon be relegated to the history books.

How do you know if it was deliberate? Your misunderstanding is why I asked the question that I did.

But again, we come back to how you determine if an action was deliberate or not. Will you actively investigate miscarriages to make sure that the woman wasn't drinking, smoking, exercising too hard, or otherwise jeopardizing the pregnancy? I'm sure a lot of women will be relieved to hear that it conclusively wasn't their fault. Those others... well, obviously they get what they deserve, right?

And I am for honest discourse. When you get there I imagine it will be rather fascinating and worthwhile.

What's confusing about it though is that there is nothing in their "Holy" texts that indicates opposition to Abortion(there is actually a Pro-Abortion Husbands Choice message within the texts). The closest thing in support of "Pro-Life" persons anger towards the issue would be the position of Women having Sex before Marriage. Over and over again we see this aspect of their motivation slip out.

I'm pretty sure that driving to Planned Parenthood and paying $700 to lay on a table and vacuum extract your uterus falls into the category of deliberate.

And really folks, you think this is about saying sex itself is irresponsible? This isn't the freaking Middle Ages, if you don't want to become pregnant there's a huge array of means to do so from abstinence to birth control of various flavors all the way up to sterilization. Have all the sex you want because no one cares, just don't be so fucking irresponsible about it that you need to kill to fix your irresponsibility.

Okay, but when you make it illegal, then women will have to resort to other methods to perform these wicked acts.

So I feel comfortable adding you to the miscarriage task force. You and buckshot interrogating women to determine if and how they murdered their fetuses.

I have asked for Biblical justification many times and they never provide it. I have provided much more evidence on a Biblical and theological basis than they have. In fact they have provided NONE. Since it is NOT in the BIBLE, they ASSUME they know the mind of their nonexistent God. The arrogance of that assumption is breath-taking. They have made themselves Gods unto themselves. Since what they are promulgating is not supported by the Bible, their justification remains strictly with themselves and their sense of moral superiority. Reason and rationality need not apply.

Oh, this type of shit is alive and well in lovely places like Honduras where a raped 14 year old can be forced to carry a child to term. Clearly the kind of world glenn1 would like to live in.

Not that denying any woman the right to make her own reproductive choices isn't just as vile. It absolutely is.

Yeah, it would have been so much better if all those kids were dead via abortion instead. So much better, and I'm sure they'd agree.

That's your take away after watching and reading?

I wouldn't have pegged you for siding with communists.
