Anyone know of a hack/trainer to increase your inventory? 27 is beyond frustrating for me as I like to pick up and sell everything.

Wow, BL2 is way harder than the original. The suicide psychos in particular are f'n annoying as hell.

Eh, the only reason psychos are harder is because they don't just run straight at you anymore. :p They really aren't that much more difficult than in the first game, and it's not like they'll actually kill you.

And :( - No more insta-kill when you run over something with the car? It does more damage to the car than it does the mob.

The only stuff you could insta-kill by running it over was really weak stuff anyway. I still deal plenty of damage, but the difference is that you can't quickly run it over again. When you run into a mob, it gets knocked down and appears to be immune to being run over for a few seconds. I've run over a mob, waited a second, and then backed up over it again. :p

My memory of borderlands 1 is entirely different from most here's.

I just have to wonder if people are remembering the difficulty at max level with great gear, and comparing it to the leveling up difficulty, because 2 seems no harder than 1 to me. Also, I don't think running over things instant killed anything but the weaker enemies in the first one.

Yeah they definitely tweaked the car damage. Amusing to hit an enemy and it stops your car. It does however do decent damage and tends to knock them down for awhile, weaker enemies do instakill though. I feel like there's an achievement for sliding over enemies and killing them, but not sure. On the other hand I haven't blown my car up yet, so that's a nice tweak as in b1 that happened allll the time.

Theres not a whole lot of places to do road killing, but when I do i just run around in circles and keep running things over. More or less works.

I dunno about that. Seems like every time I hit a suicide psycho on the way in, it manages to "drop" the grenade it's holding magically far enough that it blows up right on top of me doing massive damage. Worse yet, if I hit one, it drops a grenade, it gets back up and lights up another before I can put him down and all of a sudden I get hit by two grenades at once and pretty much die instantly.

For some reason they seem a lot harder to kill than they did in the first one.

This game makes me feel so unwell. After 1 hour of play my eyes are killing me, and I get massive headaches. Even having turned off Depth of Field and Motion blue (ini change) I still can't stay with the game. I had the same problem with BL1 and I never worked out what it was that did it. Real shame, I was enjoying the game up to that point.

Try adjusting FOV (Field of View)?

I get the feeling that this game is going to go the way of Diablo III for me. I mean... I've been playing the hell out of it with 45 hours in and I just went to Thousand Cuts for the first time. It's just that the game isn't much more than Borderlands 1 with a few tweaks and an actual story. However, I feel like they either made some aspects worse or didn't attempt to tweak the Borderlands formula enough. The UI has to be the worst aspect of the game. It's so clunky. For example, I like to be able to see what my inventory is at... especially since the max size is so small! In Borderlands 1, when you hit 'i', you can see everything. In Borderlands 2, you have to hit 'i' and then click over to the right for it to bring up the inventory pane. What a "pane in the ass"!

Also, apparently there are actually less guns in Borderlands 2 than Borderlands 1. What makes that worse is that I have the hardest time finding a gun that I actually like to use. E-Tech? More like Garbage-Tech. I vendor every single E-Tech gun that I get, because low velocity rounds + average reload + multiple bullet consumption per fire + average damage = waste of my time.

I dunno about that. Hmm they normally drop the grenade straight down for me. What class are you playing? Normally if a Suicide Psycho or EXP Loader gets close to me on my Siren, I just Phaselock it.

I don't think two grenades would kill me though... I'm a tough SOB! ;)

This game makes me feel so unwell. After 1 hour of play my eyes are killing me, and I get massive headaches.

Hmm so I'm not the only person that gets eye fatigue from playing this game. I never had the problem in Borderlands 1, and I don't have it in any other game that I play. It also has no result of how long I play for. Although, it appears that my eyes have adjusted to whatever it was as they no longer hurt after playing.

I feel like there's an achievement for sliding over enemies and killing them, but not sure.

There is a Badass Achievement for it. I think it's called Blue Sparks.

So, you *only* got 45 hours of enjoyment out of it? That must be a bad game....

Hmm is there any difference between a Hulking Mass of Destruction and a God-liath?

Unfortunately, like a mouse to the sweet smell of cheese, you have fallen for the obvious trap. Just because I have a high playtime doesn't mean that the game is good, but that I'm willing to play it. I criticized Diablo III just as much, and unbeknownst to you, I have more playtime in Diablo III than I do in Borderlands 2. To give you a better understanding, I'm an obsessive compulsive gamer, and hell, I have well over a year's worth of in-game time in World of Warcraft. Now... what's really disappointing for me is that you completely ignore any qualm that I have with the game, and simply look at my playtime. It's rather disappointing, and I have half a mind to simply write you off as a fanboy. I mean... seriously... you're going to tell me that everything in the game is great and that nothing is worse about this game compared to the first? How about ways that they could have improved the game but didn't?

However, I feel like they either made some aspects worse or didn't attempt to tweak the Borderlands formula enough.

I mostly agree here. Like the toned down gore: before realizing that many others had noticed it too, I was waiting for my first headshot to explode an enemy's head, and figured, as I was fairly low in level at the time, my damage wasn't high enough to get the "BOOM! headshot!" animations, but apparently they don't even exist in the game; that's disappointing to me.

I agree. It's inconvenient to have to switch over to the right, like you said, to know my current storage capacity. I don't usually like to modify things in games, but with the combination of small inventory space, and the difficulty in checking it, I may use some sort of .ini tweak, or whatever is necessary, to increase the inventory space limit, or remove it altogether (if possible).

I agree, those E-Tech guns blow, or at least the ones I've encountered so far (I'm lvl 32) aren't anything special. BL1 did seem to have a wider variety of guns as well. Like Diablo 3 compared to 2, where 2 had many low level uniques, sets, or "special" items, B2 doesn't seem to have hardly any low-level orange items (as random drops, or deal-of-the-day), where B1 did. There ARE blue/purple items with unique red text though, in BL2, that you get through quests, that are perhaps an equivalent to BL1's legendary/orange-quality items.

I had 3 golden keys, so I figured I'd use one now, just because, and whaddya know... I get TWO E-Tech weapons.

But! I think I spoke too soon when I said they all suck, because one of the two I got is pretty awesome, I think:

He didn't use that word, you did :)

Perhaps not, but claiming you've played a game for 45 hours and didn't enjoy it means you're either not being entirely truthful, need to visit a mental health professional, or are a game tester.

Eh, I guess it's okay. Unlike most E-Tech weapons that I have, it has a decent magazine size (an effective 21-22 bullets -- not sure how it handles halves). The problem then comes with its 3.2 second reload speed, which is relatively high... especially when you're used to Borderlands 1!

I went back into Borderlands 1 earlier, and I definitely really miss some of my weapons. It's ridiculous how accurate most of my SMGs were, which was probably due to the weapon proficiency and the weapon's natural high accuracy (for a SMG). Add into that the ridiculously fast reload speeds... those weapons are ridiculously awesome! :D

... and he's saying that because I never said that I didn't enjoy the game. Someone can find something frustrating yet still enjoy it or certain aspects of it. Arguably, the game is very similar to the first one, which is a good thing and a bad thing. I played the first game for over 200 hours, which means I should probably enjoy the similarities; however, that also means that it may carry over things that I didn't enjoy as much. It could also mean that the game introduced new things that I don't care for as much, which it did.

Honestly, Diablo III already tired me out of the whole playthrough concept. Even as I was pressing through Borderlands 1, I found it harder and harder to play each character multiple times through the same story, because I had done it already. I would actually enjoy a WillowTree for Borderlands 2 because it would allow me to skip the first playthrough. :p

EDIT:

Oh, and I haven't been able to get that Shift code to work. :( I had trouble authenticating for awhile, and now it just says that it's been redeemed even though it should be active for about a half an hour.

EDIT 2:

Oh, I apparently already redeemed it, but it never said I did. :$

Someething else I find frustrating about the controls. Sounds minor, but gets really annoying. It is the fact that a hotkey is not a toggle. What I mean, in every other game I can think of press "m" to bring up the map, press again to close it. In this game you either have to hit escape or use the mouse to x out of the map. Cant say how many times I have hit m to close the map been pissed because nothing happened.

Anyway, I have a lot of hours into the game, and it just does not seem as much fun as the first. Some funny moments, but a lot of frustrating things also. It just seems harder, and I can never get good enough weapons to keep up with my level. Also, a lot of the powers and perks seem focused to multiplayer, which I do not do, so that is OK, but a negative to me. And maybe it was in the first game too, but I dont remember the huge amount of respawing enemies. And they seem to suddenly appear right of top of you. You can clear out an area, and go back into it a bit later, and it is solid red with enemies.

So I keep playing because I looked forward to the game so long, and keep hoping to really get into it. Also seems like I have a broken quest to kill the flying insect boss after injecting the pod. I failed a couple of times to kill it, and now it seems to be missing from the map. I keep walking through the area where is shows on the map, and where it was the first time, but now I dont see it. I finally totally quit and hope restarting the game will help.

I found this nifty, legendary Razor Hammer Buster assault rifle earlier. I almost did a double take, because it's so rare for me to see a legendary, and have it be good. Although, I would much prefer a lower reload speed on it, but it's okay given the damage is considerably higher than anything else that I'm using.

I got a similar one from the slot machines at Moxxi's. Minus the scope and the "knife", lower level too. That thing was tearing through things like crazy! Not anymore (too low level now). The red text apparently adds a chance that each shot will be one of the elemental ones - fits Maya very well :)
