There should be like a mandatory 1 year 'gun class' followed by an iq test before you are allowed to purchase a gun.
The problem with this is that this person likely owned that gun for 20+ years. Just because you are sane when you buy a gun does not mean you are still sane when you use it.

Anyway, there has been no reports of any kind that he was senile or had dementia.

I fully believe in stand your ground laws....especially when someone is protecting their home. However I will wait for more details before making a final judgement.

Is the old guy hard of hearing?
Does he have poor eyesight?
Is this a bad neighborhood with high crime?
Was the old guy tired?
Why did the 16 year old go to the wrong house?

Night time can be more confusing....I'd be very careful of opening the door. I'd also be careful of banging on anybody's door I didn't know. Might get shot!!!
What the actual fuck???

I saw that too. I don't know? Maybe he had a logo or something on his shirt that they didn't want on the record?
Even if it is because he drools that is not a specific sign of mental dementia, although it can be a side effect of some of the medications used to treat it, but excessive drooling is more associated with neuromuscular problems like Bells Palsy.

Once you reach a certain age a yearly competency test should be required. Someone here had the idea of mandatory liability insurance. I like that idea. Payouts are for unjustified shootings.

For so many things...
Driving is another thing that should require mandatory yearly test; my dad voluntarily gave up his license when you realized he was not really competent to drive; but so many people continue to driving well past pragmatic age to do so. Yea people age differently so i should have said well past their ability to drive safely.

In other words, you have nothing. Making shit up again. You deserve to be labeled a liar.

No, not in other words. Responding to you and MrSquished is not worth the electrons. Even when we agree on something it always comes back around to this:

" You voted for Trump twice so your words are empty lies or else you would have voted like me".

Lol shooter’s statement. He just got into bed. He heard the doorbell and grabbed his gun to check the door. He saw a huge black guy and was scare for life so he shot.

Yup robbers always ring the doorbell and stand by the doorway.
Yeah, that probably won't work well in a courtroom.

To me, that's strong evidence you are a liar.

That's a strong indictment.

I don't think he loves Trump or would vote for him in a state where it didn't matter, but if it was a tight race in his state, and his state was one of the crucial two or three swing states in the race, and the choice was President Trump or a Liberal, it's guaranteed.

Guaranteed?
Really. How are you going to guarantee this?

I guarantee @13Gigatons will be on the dark right wing web looking for times Ralph was suspended from school so he can justify the shooting.

"Dat boy was just a thug"
Doubt he can. He went to MSA which means he is the best incoming junior student in their school to participate in the program. My son told me he is very smart as they were roomates in the program.

I was glad to hear that the young man was released from the hospital. I hope he has a full recovery.

I also hope the old coot gets to pay for being stupid.
