Was that price for preorders only? I can't find any sales on it now that it's out.

Also, is there a way to get the nuketown map now without getting the deluxe edition?

how can it be a pre-order price if it was a month after it was released?

??

It shouldn't run so slow with graphics like those.

Maybe it'll be patched out, but that's unacceptably slow for a competitive FPS. Better off on console where you can get a steady 60FPS with the same exact models/textures/maps, and more people playing it.

I can't comment on the campaign as I haven't played any of it yet, but in MP I am getting a steady 120FPS on a GTX 570 with everything turned up to max.

Real PC players would never willingly play a FPS on a console :)

FPS games on consoles aren't that bad, as long as you can get over the fact that it's like competing in the special olympics of FPS gaming. Everyone has the same handicap with a gamepad.

I think I'm going to get it. Question: Can you rank up just playing the wager modes? I know there is no wagering anymore, but I think I would rather play those modes to get my timing down and rank up.

Last year I broke down and bought MW3 when it was on sale during xmas for 40 or 45. Hoping BLOPS2 goes on sale this xmas for a similar price because as tempting as it is I won't pay 60$ for COD again.

They won't fool me again... I bought BLOPS because I was bored with BFBC2 and thought the game was pretty awful. It was a diversion, but I got tired of it extremely quickly . Now i'm bored with BF3 and I almost considered contemplating BLOPS2 before I remembered what a waste of money the first one was.

Hadn't bought a COD since MW, quite impressed actually. The MP isn't anything to write home about--same basic gunplay, with some very nice improvements like score-based rewards and built-in tournament modes. I was most impressed with the SP actually, the story was actually pretty damn good. Haven't touched zombies yet.

Just finished the first level and now into the level where you were on the river.
I got through the first level by just shaking the mouse around and put no thought what so ever into making it through.
the level with the boat is pretty much the same.
How the hell is this game getting good press?
Graphics = meh
Gameplay on SP = meh... a 7 year old with parkinsons could make it through in early levels.
Haven't tried MP yet but for 60 bucks it better blow me to make up for the lameness in SP so far

I just got through exactly where you are as well before I quit and started up MP.

What the hell was that in the first level? There were 100 plus enemies who looked exactly the same, standing in the open just shooting at me. When one was close, they would charge. Got to the boat and starting blowing up random boats. This is coming from me who personally I liked BO1 SP.

Graphics are meh. Ocean level looks kind of pretty because it was bright. Everything else seemed pretty washed out. IGN's review raved about the facial animations. They were meh to me compared to other games. Hell HL2 has more human like facial animations and that was from 2004.

MP is more of the same as previous generations. Its not as bad as MW3 was (running around spraying in circles) but not as crisp as BO1 was. There is absolutely no purpose in burst firing with any weapon. Bullets dont do enough damage to the body. 9 shots to a body and it doesnt kill yet 1 to the head does. Every gun feels like the ACR in MW2 to me. ADS and spray. Its kind of boring after playing CS:GO for the past few weeks and the strategy of trying to burst right with different weapons.

IMO if you loved MW3/BO you'll probably love this game. Me, I'm glad as hell I didnt pay a dime for this game.

If anyone is feeling brave, Direct2Play is selling region free keys with Nuketown for $47. Seems to have activated fine, and its now installing. From my 5 mins of research, the site is legit enough. Buyer beware, and have solace in the fact that if anything happens to you, it will have already happened to me.

BTW, there are two separate deals. One for $47 with Nuketown, and one for $59, with access to Nuketown and a double XP weekend.

Wow you can't kill the game process from the taskmanager. It's like a virus and just keeps restarting.

Yup. You have to download an archive to fix some font issue, but other than that it seems fine. Its in english, and I was able to play online with no issues.

Man, why cant you reload and sprint at the same time! I only played one game (kill confirmed)...didnt do too bad (something like 25-15), but reloading and sprinting, or sprinting and deciding to reload has got me killed a couple of times. And limited sprint... D: And having killstreaks at 1,2,3, not using those for switching guns is such a pain in the butt! Years of muscle memory out the window. Going to to mouse wheel seems slower than using number keys, so I think I'm going to dump the secondary. Also, kinda sucks that scavenger is past level 40...pretty much makes me want to stick with the default smg class. Its too bad you cant play without killstreaks, but its not that annoying as I remember it to be.

Now that we established its not a Dice game, its not bad. I feel kinda handicapped by not having the unlocks like everyone who has been playing for a few days, but I think that smg class is pretty much what I would pick anyways. The only perks I want are the equivalent of ghost, scavenger and marathon. Online is pretty smooth, and I dont think my framerate dipped below 120 maxed out, and 4X TXAA. But because of limited sprint and the reloading, it actually feels slower than BF/MoH. But the gun play is pretty good. At least with the scorpion. I just need a guns like the M4A1, AK47, AK74U in previous CODs, and I'll be set.

Wow, played a bit of the campaign and I'm just blown away by how shitty it is, even for COD standards. It crashed on me not far into the game, and I doubt I will load it up again.

Just played a few rounds of hardcore MP.
I feel empty inside
Can't believe I payed full price for this

Graphics on par with Half Life 2
Gameplay on par with ...not sure since I haven't played any really bad games recently.
I'm sure some folks are enjoying this.
I'm not one of those people.

Played some drunk BO1 today. I remebered why I liked the game. I had to burst guns like the AK and other various guns.

I caved too and Im liking it so far. The gameplay is fast and furious, reminds me of the fun we had in my old CoD4 clan on our speeded up server. As usual I prefer playing hardcore. Running and gunning with a silenced SMG + laser + cold blooded makes me feel almost invincible at times. :)

I think there is an unlimited sprint perk to be unlocked.

Remap your keys to your liking, thats what I did.

I agree the killstreaks can get annoying and wish there was some games modes to avoid them.

I disagree on the speed though, to me this game feels like Im playing at warp speed compared to MoH or BF3. I dread going back to play those games after playing this, I just know Ill feel like Im running in quicksand!

I hope that patch for the FOV comes soon, the capped at 80 bugs me big time.

Oh and the running knifers are still around.......... but I guess it wouldnt be CoD with them. :p
