🙁 I saw in one of the BF lists that CUSA will have a $129.99 7900GS - it's the only thing keeping me from beating myself up over missing the $149.99 7900GS from BB. Of course the likelihood of actually getting one at that price are slim to none - I'm not about to camp out or get up at 5AM for it, and if they only have 5 or something at each store they will probably be snatched up by employees...

That deal is either wrong (i think its 179.99 not 129.99) or after MASSIVE$ 100+ rebates..

If you're stalwart enough to do the Best Buy experience on BF, they're going to have some 7-hr specials that are not in the ad. Link.

Toshiba Laptop (L35-s2151) 8103535 $249.99
Panasonic 42" Plasma HDTV (TH-42PX60U) 7679185 $999.99
Samsung MiniDV Digital Camcorder (SC-D363) 7602338 $129.99
Kodak EasyShare 7.1-Megapixel Digital Camera (C743) 7972376 $129.99
Samsung neXus 50 XM Satellite Radio & MP3 Player(YP-X5Z)7528142 $49.99 after MIR

The deals have gotten progressively worse over the last 3 years that I've done black Friday.

3 years ago I spend about $800, and saved $800. 2 years ago I spent considerably less. Last year, I didn't go at all.

None of the electronics deals are better than the normal "Hot Deals" we've seen here on a regular basis. The couple that look interesting are no-name China brands brought in just to be flashy at a low price point.

Most of the other stuff is repeats from the past years, though I see a drastic decline in name-brand deals. I won't be going this year either.

Perhaps when I want to drop $2k on some good TV and get 2x the best buy bucks it would be worth it, but right now there isn't a single compelling deal that would get me out of bed at 5 AM (which is also pretty ridiculous).

We haven't seen Fry's yet. Since they carry everything and usually go all out for BF, there's still a chance.

Speaking of Fry's, when does their BF ad usually show up? I'm hoping they will have a decent AGP video card deal. 😀

Don't know if anybody has asked this question: but I wondered if we could buy an item before black friday and then get a pricematch on Friday. I asked that very question about the 32 inch lcd tv that will be 479.99 on Friday, and the salesman from best buy said "no, we will not pricematch on prior deals on black friday." I was not satisfied, so I asked the customer service manager. He said, and I quote: "Sure, there wouldn't be a problem with that." So, that is what I am going to do. It would probably behoove some of you to do that as well, as I believe that some of these deals will be gone in the first few minutes on Friday. I would be interested in other people's current and prior experiences with this sort of thing.

As I said before. Most stores will do no returns, exchanges, or price adjustments on black friday.

The first 3 were almost enough to convince me to get in line around 7-8PM. But standing (sitting) in line for 9 hours isn't exactly my cup of tea.

Whats the policy when a retail store offers to match the price of the competition? Because CC will have the samsung 22inch lcd for 250 and CUSA has it for 300?

As has been said several times in above post & others, stores won't do PM on Friday. It's stated plainly in BBs ad. Even those that do not state it in ad, customer service dept won't be staffed Friday AM, so your SOL either way!

BB is really trying to pull the wool over people's eyes on the Rebel XTi. The "sale" price is $899, which is their normal price on the site now,but it's actually CHEAPER if you buy it today ( $854.99) than on their sale Friday. I hate when companies pull this type of stuff.

YMMV. I just got the 22" westinghouse from best buy for $199. I went about 30 mins before the store closed, and they changed their prices early. 🙂

Like how every store (CC, BB, ect) has the 360 in the ad as sale, but the core is still $299? WTF?
