All the fake concern in this thread, from both left and right, is amusing. This is a giant nothingburger. Biden is a close talker. He does this to everyone. Women. Men. Children. Senior citizens. Literally everyone. It's a matter of personal style. I get that it makes some people feel uncomfortable. They can talk to him about it. It shouldn't even be a national dialogue.

This accuser - the first one - is a Bernie supporter. That's all you need to know about why she suddenly decided to go public with this. She didn't wait because she felt traumatized or afraid. That excuse doesn't work here. Not with this.

And just to be clear - Biden is low on my list of candidates for next year. There's like 10 other people I'd rather see get the nomination.
 
In a world where the "pussy grabber" got elected how could these accusations be said to end Biden's bid? It might lead to his not running, but I doubt we're there yet..

The practical political issue is that giving Biden a pass on this plays straight into Trump's hands. Since the "pussy grabber" got elected he's been screaming about liberal lies, and his base believes every word. If touchy Joe gets the nomination we'll hear every day about how the liberals faked outrage about his pussy grabbing, which according to him, never happened and was another lie and everything they say about him is also a lie. And his base will believe it, because the left has made it true. All Joe really needs to do is say, "Donald, you have conducted yourself with such unbelievable crudeness and vulgarity not only during your presidency and campaign, but over your entire career, that it doesn't remotely compare. Do you know what 'remotely' means?

Having said that, it seems Biden still sees nothing wrong with this conduct, which at best is patronizing. He's been the guy at the top, comforting and bestowing his own wonderfulness on the little ladies. And he thinks that's great. My guess is there is no footage of Biden doing this to a woman who clearly outranks him. It's possible that Biden could fix this. It all depends on what he says. And, of course, on him ceasing to lay hands on women who haven't issued an invitation. Biden needs to do something that may not be possible for him: he needs to stop thinking of women as fair flowers who will be grateful for his touch.

Obviously he's not a pedophile. He either has no idea he's crossing boundaries considering how often people have called him on it over several decades or he's unable or unwilling to control his behavior even after myriad people have told him and articles have been written, and bits on tv shows have been aired and social media comments have mounted into the thousands over his behavior and that's not someone with good judgment and/or ability to control his impulses. Just like our current President, but he is somehow untouchable.

Lets just be real here. None of it matters because Joe will not be the DNC's pick to run for POTUS. As soon as this is apparent enough, it will all simmer down.
Its gonna be a Harris / Beto ticket, or Beto / Harris ticket.

This is just standard Republican/conservative tactics. Front runner? Keep pounding away, pretend, you are outraged about their behavior and personal beliefs. Repeat, rinse, repeat rinse. Goebbels would be proud. Clinton hate was developed the same way. These are just well know propaganda techniques which I guess the Dems are going to have to learn to be competitive, because none of this is about ideas to fix this country, it's about tearing down your perceived enemies a soon and as often as possible. There's a few posters on this site who practice this on a daily basis here, in incipit and constant pre-stamped snide remarks, guised as general concern..

Maybe I missed it but I'm not really seeing any major attacks by Republicans/conservatives towards Biden on this issue. Most the MSM articles I've seen, left or right leaning, seem to be reporting this in a neutral way. Democrat politicians are being somewhat critical of him more than Republicans. If I had to speculate I would say that Republicans/conservatives would prefer Biden as the winner of the primaries over the other more left leaning candidates because they think they could beat him in the general.

I hear you. Contrary to popular belief here by some I think those people and some a little more right/center leaning would vote for Biden over Trump. I'm really hoping Trump doesn't win the primary.

I did. I was desperate for any option other than Trump or Hilary. I couldn't vote for either of them with a clear conscience.

Biden doesn't seem like a liar to me.

I recall seeing the videos you describe many years ago. He's just one of those touchy people. We've all encountered them. Not sexual at all. Just a different perception of how personal space should be.
