what's the diff between Metal vs Rock?
For me, it has mostly to do with the guitarwork of the song. Usually fast tempo, palm-muted modular riffs.
Most rock songs have little to no "crunch".. just distorted strummed chords.
I've always considered Sabbath metal because of their music's "crunchiness".![]()
