EDIT: If the R520 was launched at the time the 7800GTX was launched, and the 7800GTX was delayed like the R520 is and will be, What video card do you think Rollo would have in his rig(s)?
Same card as you, a 6800 ultra as ..... the drivers are bad or donkeys and asses are really the same or shader day was really a piss off........ already read it all.
Umm, what? 😕
I think with the Shader Day reference he's trying to divert the argument back to the old "9700 Pro was teh roxor!" argument.
No actually was just suggesting that you 2 have a history of promoting Nvidia sales, even in the darkest of times. IMO, if Ati had the top card right now - you guys would be saying - tried ati, but the texture shimmering gave me big headaches. Still as you said, are probably several active particapants here that work for Nvidia.
Oh yeah ronnn, werent you part of the topic of discussion in Forum issues? Didn't someone say that you always turn up the throw fuel on the fire?
I have no doubt that there are ATI and NV employees on this forum. Why wouldn't there be? It's one of the most popular. You don't actually know what we would be saying if I owned an R520 that shimmered. If my 6800GT shimmered, I would not be using it and would have RMA'd it until I got one that didn't. If that could not be done, I would have returned the card to the vendor and tried out a X800xx. (Which I have BTW). If the shimmering was bad enough to give me a headache, it's gone. If barely noticeable, I would hang on for a driver release. These are things that I know that I would do because I have done so in the past with 9500/9700's. I kept RMA'ing trying to get one that didn't have the issue. No luck until a driver release came out to address it. I bought a Ti4600 in the interim. You can say whatever you wish, but I know the score.
