Because the release date is 9/25. That's just how they always date pre-orders.

But of course, since it is shipped, you can't depend on it to come at any date at all, no matter what it says there. Obviously this isn't for anyone who wants to play midnight at release (better preorder digitally) or even the morning of release (better preorder at a store and line up at midnight or come in the morning).

Some people just don't care to rush to 90 right at midnight, some may want it for their second account, etc. and wouldn't mind getting it a day or two late. This would be perfect for them.

maybe my logic is failing... but if the issue is the availability of server instancing, wouldn't pre-formed groups get stuck with the same queue times as randoms?

(otherwise, there really are just that few people queue'ing that it really does take half an hour to match up 3 players of any class/spec)

I can't imagine there was a lack of instance servers available. I Q'd for it with full groups several times during peak hours (6-8 CST) and got in instantly every time. I'd bet something else was causing it. I play on a high pop server, but that shouldn't matter.
 
My 32 bit wow won't launch anymore. It shows up in task manager but never actually pops. Using 64 bit, I seem to freeze at least 50% of the time I zone. Anyone have any suggestions? I've reinstalled, tried deleting the bnet folders, neither worked.

on win 7 if that matters.
 
Are you sure that it works on Mists of Pandaria? Because here's the image from Newegg's mailer:

It specifically states "excluding World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria." Not that I'm complaining if it does work. 😛

Hmm... I tried it myself, and it does accept the code. Although, you only get NewEgg's EggSaver shipping and ShopRunner isn't available. UPS would probably get it to me within a day, but that's an extra $5.

The official Mists of Pandaria launch times are as follows:

North and Latin American realms - 12:00 a.m. PDT, September 25
European realms - 12:00 a.m. CEST, September 25
Korean/Taiwan realms - 12:00 a.m. KST, September 27

With this expansion, we’re using a new bit of tech that will unlock the expansion content, make the intro quest magically pop up in your quest log, and allow you to begin playing the expansion immediately without the need to log out and back in. If everything goes as planned this will be a smooth transition to the adventures that await you in the new continent.
 
so, as a lowly east coaster with Tuesday/Wednesday off... do I stay up late on Monday night, or wake up early on Tuesday morning? :hmm:
 
We aren't going to support Raid Finder for content that is much lower level than your character, but we are going to allow you to enter old raids solo without being in a raid in a future patch (ideally the next major one, but standard no promises). That should facilitiate a lot of transmog farming.

You can run it again to keep trying. I think every spec has at least two items that would prove useful, if you don't already have something 384 or higher for the slot. For hunters, it's a gun and a mail helm. You also get the 168JP each time too, so if you're not capped it's an easy way to top out, since this scenario should be faster than any dungeon that would give you that many.

I'm going to be farming the crap out of it, in theory, to get the 397 Valor gear to catch up. I need 1 more piece of any gear higher than 346 to hit the limit to get in, and then it will be time to whip out the tractor.
 
They just doubled the hp of all theramore mobs. Said is was too easy for the guys decked out in full DS gear. So have fun if you're still in all green and have a very unbalanced group. 🙂

Yeah like that'll impact DS geared toons at all. We were pulling the entire side to the captains or whatever and AEing them down. The group will survive an extra 2 seconds, lol.
