Not really, unless you can solo normal 5 mans. IIRC there is only enough quests to get you into friendly.
yeah, that was my fear... with the heroic queue times for DPS, I don't think I'll have the time to grind it out before MoP and no one ever running Cat heroics again :(

Yeah like that'll impact DS geared toons at all. We were pulling the entire side to the captains or whatever and AEing them down. The group will survive an extra 2 seconds, lol.

yeah i don't see that being a issue. long as you have a half way decent tank.

I went on my rogue with a mage and shitty hunter. we finished it but the mage died like 5 times heh

Even with the buff, Theramore is still super easy. My hunter and a rogue from my guild cleared it after some random DK left after he pulled the whole group before the first boss(not sure what else to call it)

Although now thinking about it I wouldnt be surprised if those similar but different cross faction mounts are broken. Checked my alliance chars just after the patch and while they had the achievement for the wintersaber, they didn't have actually access to it.

In case anyone is interested, the Transmute Truegold for alchemists no longer has a CD. Living Elements is still limited to once per day however.

it chafs me that they don't adjust the honor/justice point cost of lower-tier gear when a new tier is made available.

like, what sense does it make that an ilevel 397 item costs the same as a 378 item? (or that 346 blue gear that's still on a vendor somewhere)

I'm with you. I always thought this was stupid on Blizzard's part. Has there ever been a blue post to suggest why they continue to do that?

rolling restarts today for a hotfix. some warrior and arcane mage nerfs, minor druid buff and turning off the fishing tournaments mainly.

hence the term minor.

but you can at least enjoy the tears as the warriors seem to be forum crying pretty mightily.

So I'm planning on swapping from my bear druid. I want to heal and I love the look of trees but I suck at the way druid heals. I think I may swap to a shaman. Any thoughts on these 2 healing specs?

I don't hate healing on my shaman, though I've only done it in PvP.

I hated healing on my priest... I always felt a bit overwhelmed by all the different abilities.

really? priest healing is the best, and very simple i think!

i find holy is much more effective in 10man and above, but for 5man, try going disc and using this little trick: make sure to have From Darkness Comes Light talent and Glyph of Inner Fire, and then ALWAYS keep inner focus active (that means, Never cast prayer of healing, greater heal, or flash heal unless its an instant cast from the above talent proc)

and then just smite/inner fire mobs to heal and dps at same time, and then ull get loads of procs of the instant flash heal, which will ALWAYS be critical hit coz of inner focus... so u get instant heal of around 80k whenver u need it, along with ur shields, and healing from smite and inner fire, works great and is fun

The game is 8 years old. I was excited about TBC and wotlk. The magic of WoW is just gone, however - what used to be new, fresh and exciting is not any longer.

Not knocking WoW, just saying. GW2 also plays a factor as well.

It might be old, But to be honest until today and in the next 2-5 years there wont be any MMO game like Wow ...
I was a big fan of GW2, reached level 31 ... and didnt login since then..

Its a great game, but will never top Wow ..

It could be my ex-addiction with wow ... i got rid of it for 2 years until now, i play from time to time but cant play all day long as i used to ... i have work and alot of things to do which leave me with no spare time... life is tough.. But god, i enjoy every second playing it !!

Im just a big fan of old games,
just take a look at what games do people play...
there wasnt alot of trash games like now... !

Miss old days.

Got my shaman to 85 last night from 80 hadn't touched him all cataclysm but I did some leveling dungeons and might get few heroics in tonight before launch. Feel comfortable enough with restoration I think. Glad to be playing wow again. 4.3 really killed the game for me for about a year but I'm glad there's going to be new things to do again.

Nothing will match vanilla WoW. However that is because of many reasons.

A) You had to explore. Quest hubs had maybe 2-3 quests, that would chain into more later on. You also had only a 60% mount at most usually as the 100% was godly expensive and no flying mounts existed. This ment you had to explore everywhere, take in the views, fight a lot of monsters that got in your way. The game took TIME and you enjoyed it. Since BC quest hubs started giving 6-12+ and are so quick and easy to finish, that its more like a zerg now leveling and the exploring became something else.

B) The game took a while. You didn't hit level 60 overnight, took months for the average player, dungeons were not many and long and hard (strat/scholo 10 man). Crafting at the end level took a lot of time preparing and planning and obtaining what was needed. (now?) Crafting is simplified and gathering mats is mindless with a flying mount. Don't even need to find any other objects that are off monsters anymore either.

C) You couldn't solo everything. A lot of zones end quests in vanilla had "3-5 man group' quests. In which you couldn't get the cool rewards unless you had help, and many zones had areas you "stayed away from" unless you were prepared. The game had both a solo element and group element. Now everything but dungeons is basically soloable, and dungeons can be grouped without knowing someone or even be from your actual server.

D) PvP via battlegrounds used to be server only, and you had to stand with the battlemasters, in which you could talk to a lot of pvp players about things as you waited. You also knew who to look out for in PvP as you knew most of the strong PvPers on your server. Now, it is meaningless, and good pvpers are only known via arenas, which are not exactly balanced with "set comps and counter comps" No communication with same players on the server abotu pvp as you wait for a que, you just que and go.

E) The world was more or less new. No one really knew much about the warcraft universebut what was seen in warcraft 3. So everything was knew. From the talents, to the classes, and even seeing characters you liked from warcraft 3 in a more "real life-like setting" with the basic premises of the game was the war between the horde and alliance with some other world issues happening (much like Molten core and Naxx) at times. So world PvP was basically expected on all servers that had it. Now? Its all ganks, and small groups eating 1 person alive who then runs instead of calling for backup as "His farming" was interupted.

WOW is only a shadow of what it once was, and I don't see any game ever giving that same first experience again. I doubt we will see any more 10mil + player MMOs. Thus begins the Age of many 1-2 million MMOs.
