I was doing 6.9k to dummy (hehe) way back in april with my lock >.> and now the sim says we do 17k or so up from 13k, so thats another 4k over the absolute max when I still played.
 
Weird all around. Prot Warrior playstyle is kind of different now. I am entirely unimpressed with the rend spread by TClap thing, but there's nothing better so whatever.

I can't tell if I'm really laggy or what, but shield slam and revenge seem really slow. Maybe it's because the GCD doesn't show (does it?) when they're all lit up.

Also, the enemy nameplates are randomly disappearing for some reason. Not all, just like one at a time.

The only multimonitor support I see is the ability to switch the screen to your 2nd monitor.

and while I didn't see any armor effects any more for the lock, the mage still has some?

and a bunch of things only state medium or low damage, where's the setting to display actual numbers.


and WTF is with taking away all AOE abilities till late 40's-50s.

and this having two different frost bolt spells is..awkward yet nice.

and what's with some of my abilities having this big ass block around the buttons at times as if to suggest the spell to use?

Two different frostbolts?
 
yeah, regular one with slow effect and another called lance that is insta cast without slow effect, frost seems like an ezmode faceroller 🙂

and the new water graphics are pretty cool.
 
Even though my Pally lost a ton of Expertise, I was able to reforge my excess Hit into the other 20 Expertise that I needed 😀.

Barely got through working on two characters... this is going to be rough :x.

Ice lance has been there since BC 😀

Pretty good with fingers of frost from what Ive seen in the beta :thumbsup:
 
it hasn't been available at this low a level 😉

and yeah, between fingers and brain freeze i've got these special effect things going off constantly.
 
Worst part about the patch so far? My warlock's pets now have different names... I was rather fond of my Felguard's name.
 
i remember when they said they had to wipe pet names during a ptr patch to fix bugs they had introduced, didn't think that would carry to live.
 
I'm really not a huge fan of Hand of Gul'dan for Demonology... a 12s CD and it's used to refresh Immolate, which has a 15s duration... HoG also has a ~1.5s cast time for me and has a sort of slow travel time (it flies down like a meteor). I've missed refreshing Immol a few times simply because HoG was .5s off CD and I had to cast something else :\.
 
It's kind of funny... the best way to deal threat as a Prot Paladin is using a spellpower weapon with Hammer of the Righteous. I gained nearly 1k DPS doing this, but ugh... I can only pull about 9k threat based on the fact that I gain 200% threat from RF. Since other classes are pulling crazy DPS numbers... how am I supposed to hold threat when all -threat modifiers/talents were removed?

Wow... you're going to need to spend a few of those before 4.0.3, as the cap is 4k.

I think you can still buy gems, which might be going for higher than normal.
 
My patching on my secondary machine lasted about two and a half hours because of having to restart near the end the first time with the out of memory error.


Not sure how it will raid, by frost mage sub max level is serious lulz now, cast frostbolt then hit lance then you can just walk backwards and keep spamming lance as gcd resets. Unless the first bolt misses things are dieing after getting at most 1 melee swing against you.


Graphics improvements are nice, and should see more when the old world gets even more of an update, but expect to need more power to run it.


Be interesting to play the lock once I figure out talent/glyphs on it, on the lowbie mage I could go through a kill 15 mob quest in a fairly tight area pulling one after another and still be a around 30 something percent mana when done, something not possible before. Wonder how this applies at 80.
