So in the meantime, this business owner can f off. No big deal, hasn't happened enough times, sorry about your business..?

How many times does it have to happen in your mind, what is a good gauge? Why isn't once enough, considering there is nothing stopping it happening more?

I did a ninja edit

Regardless this is what licensing boards are for and the answer is likely different for every State

But what do you think the answer should be? With the cake bakery the courts decided that the business could not discriminate, their 1st amendment protected religious beliefs mattered less than the couple's right to get a cake from them, to do business with them. This is a pretty similar situation. This business was a salon, they offered waxing services to women. A trans "woman" (member of the LGBT community, a group ruled to be protected by civil rights laws, at least in America) wanted the service the salon provided. To me this is where make believe and reality collide.

Don’t know, as I said it’s really up to licensing boards, market forces and courts.

I will say this part is similar to the gay cake thing. I don’t know why anyone would want their man or woman balls waxed by someone who doesn’t want to wax them or is concerned about their qualifications to wax the balls.
Same with the gay cake, why buy a cake from a dude that hates you.

You just punted. I know it is up it will be up to the local law makers and courts, but I'm asking you (and AT P&N) what they think. Especially considering the way I am sure many here argued regarding that baker / wedding cake case. I know which side of the fence I'm on, I'm on the side with reality, the other side is make believe. And with that, I can say the business should have the right to say "no" and everyone moves on with their day. Why? Because that person is a biological man, and no amount of feels or make believe changes that. And for the record, I'm perfectly fine with that person living that life style, we're a free society, find happiness however you want. It doesn't affect me. But just because that guy lives a fantasy world doesn't mean anyone else should be forced to play along, as is the case here.

I answered it, I don’t know.

Let’s look at it differently. Assume the issues are totally up to you & I to solve. Our agreement is absolute.

I’ll give you: any waxer may turn away any man or woman whom has balls no justification required but prompt refund for any services that were prepaid is required.

What will you give me regarding gun control?

I didn't know Snoball McMelty is into waxing transgendered genitalia. Takes all kinds I guess.

Jessica Yaniv is a troll. Transgendered, but troll nonetheless.

If it were us negotiating, I would not be willing to give up any 2A rights over this. I'd think a woman not being forced to touch someone's testicles if she chooses not to wouldn't be something that had to be negotiated.

Seems pretty straightforward to me. Anyone refusing to do something they are capable of due to their opinions/beliefs should not be allowed to conduct business (barring extreme circumstances like being asked to do something illegal). If the owner in this case is telling the truth that they have no skills/experience in waxing balls then the case should be thrown out.

What if she did actually have experience waxing her husband's balls, hypothetically? Say she knew how to but simply didn't want to do it for money, she only offered Brazilian waxes for women (the type with XX chromosomes)? Should she be forced to touch balls against her will, simply because she does in fact know how to wax testicles but didn't want to?

If she is capable of doing it then she should do it. I don't agree with offering services which can be utilized by anyone to only select groups.

I can't say I agree. I don't think a woman should be forced to touch a man's testicles if she doesn't want to do so. Can I ask which way you lean politically?

I agree, if you offer ball waxing services it shouldn't matter if the testicles belong to a man or a woman. I know I wouldn't want someone to wax my balls that don't feel comfortable doing it, the boys are much too sensitive for that, not that I want anyone to wax my balls. What I would be pissed about is if they refused to wax my pelvic area because of the fact that they can definitely do that.

But wasn't that exactly what the Canadian law seems to say was negotiated with the issue of licensing? I mean, when you get a realtor's license in the US you don't get one just to sell to black people.

If someone cannot deal with genitals maybe they shouldn't offer brazilian waxing services? Doctor's have figured out how to deal with genitals of the opposite sex, I don't see why this should be any different.

Moderate/left I guess.

So this person lives near me, there is a lot of backstory.

The person has expressed their distaste for certain ethnic/racial groups in the past. The person has almost exclusively targeted women of those groups, that tend to have strong moral/religious beliefs about sexual contact. This person has engaged in sexual chat with children online. This person has a strange fixation on girls and their periods. This person has tried to seek out babysitting employment. This person just recently started flaunting an honourary doctorate from a non existent school probably made up by this person. This person habitually calls 911 over non issues and has assaulted a reporter (right wing jerk but still.) This person also displayed prohibited weapons on camera and then acted baffled when the police arrived and seized them. This person also claims to be on full disability and need a mobility scooter yet can run when they want to, etc.

Essentially this is a mentally ill person who is just savvy enough to take advantage of the system (most of these waxing services the person uses settle outside of the Human Rights Tribunal as it's cheaper to give them a thousand bucks to go away.)

This is not the world any liberal I’ve ever met wants. Even the transgender community largely views this person as either a victim of mental illness at best or a malicious grifter at worse. This is a weird fringe case that the police, courts, and human rights tribunals are just figuring out what to do with.

Look right above you. If she offers waxing services for women she must handle this guys balls, according to some here (even one that just above you says he's a moderate... just more evidence of how crazy the left has gotten these days). Can't make this up, people are actually saying that is fair, that she must touch his balls for the sake of this trans person's feelings. The salon owner, her body her choice? Nope, get your hands on those balls woman. Not exactly a woman's rights stance in my opinion.

I cannot believe I read one of the articles.

Let me quote one of them

Da Silva said she was not comfortable carrying out a Brazilian wax on a person with male genitalia, and lacked training on how to do so safely.

Why is this even being discussed

Wtf is wrong with the OP
