Are we there yet? Anybody still in doubt that a Trump Presidency is a national disaster?

this ought to go well:
http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/...other-net-neutrality-opponent-to-oversee-fcc/

time to pay up just to post on P&N...</s>. but anyone who thinks this is in any way good for the internet as a whole is in for a very rude awakening. when trump was first elected, though i was horrified, i thought "oh maybe congress will reign him in"...and then i realized even if congress were to hypothetically oppose trump at every turn, he could still appoint very powerful policy makers (FCC, EPA, etc.).

and that part really scares the shit out of me more than anything else at this point.

Gives me the willies thinking about that too.

BUT! Trump did promise to bring our jobs back, and build the wall, and drain the swamp and go after the Chinese money manipulators and scrap TPP and go after those businesses who've stashed over 2 trillion $$$ overseas to avoid getting taxed on that loot so the working class folks, especially the ones from the midwest who voted for Trump and tipped the scale in Trump's favor have absolutely nothing to worry about because Trump is a guy we can put our total trust and faith in. His word is as good as gold. /s

Who the hell in their right mind would ever believe that kind of BS enough to put Trump in charge of the nation?

Hmmmmm.....I wonder.

How can it be a disaster? It hasn't started yet, Obama is still the president.

The best argument you could come up with, is to be facetious. Are you American, perchance?

When you put words in my mouth I really could not care less what you say. Maybe if you learn to discuss issues without stuffing things down people's throats that they never said, as well as removing your perception bias glasses, we might get somewhere? Until then, it's unlikely we will agree.

Hillary won the popular vote because of her charisma? That's the funniest joke I've heard in a long time. What's that old saying? Oh yeah, "Causation does not equal correlation."

Many Democrats are going to vote for a Democrat no matter what. The Independents who voted for Hillary did so not because of any "charisma" but because they felt she was less icky than Trump. Charisma was not a factor and trying to imply anything of the sort is ridiculous. If she had charisma the Dems, and Independents, would have come out on droves like they did for Obama. That didn't happen. That's why Hillary and the Dems lost the election, because Hillary sucked as a candidate, something you continually turn a blind eye too and refuse to admit. You don't need to admit it though, the results speak for themselves. Your refusal to admit that is nothing but pure, unadulterated denial.

Bill and Obama have once in a lifetime political charisma levels; pretty much nobody else even comes close.

The reality is Hillary got more than enough votes. The election basically hinged on a peculiarity of the electoral college which played to the strength of Trump in riling up low edu white race resentment. That's an inescapable reality of the data for all who can understand the world quantitatively.

It isn't an argument and I'm not being facetious. Just stating the fact that he isn't even in office yet.

Yes, I am American. And yes, I know that you are not.

Not even close to the actual truth.

Just to nit pick a bit but Hillary got nearly as many votes as did Obama in 2012 and that's not insignificant.

That being said, one could argue that in a few key areas and demographics she was not able to get out the vote but it would be a stretch to say she was a horrible candidate.

We the people, did not want a dynasty president. We didn't want an undocumented felon either. She did not get what she deserved. If her just desserts come, it would be a time for elation. I hate that bitch.

Takes some unfounded bravado to use language like "We the people" when discussing this election's results.

Like most Trump voters, he doesn't give two shits about "the people". His political views are rooted in hatred. The more damage Trump does, the better in his eyes. Don't be surprised when the people that set fire to the republic enjoy watching it burn for the next 4 years.

It's remarkable how many Trumpites I've seen say phrases like "the people have spoken" to which I have to point out to them that over 2 million more said "We want Hillary".
The main accomplishment of this election has been to show me that America is even dumber and more racist than my worst fears.

Yep. I was honestly naive about the portion of Americans who either believe all the "fake news" or just don't care. I'm dismayed.

Hillary hate is a disease of the mind. It precludes rational judgement.

I thought that was Obama hate? Maybe in your mind it's anybody that hates a Democrat, but doesn't extend to the people that hate Republicans? Hypocrisy much?

A Trump presidency will reshape the NLRB, as well, and not in a good way. Can you spell cornholio?

The whole thing reminds me of this scene in Ghost Busters-

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ctgn7kKYHo

America chose Trump, obviously much more dangerous than the marshmallow man.

Unfortunately for the retired Hillary we don't elect presidents in that way. One state can't override the obvious will of the other 49 combined. Beautiful system.

Obama hate was simply replaced by Hillary hate. Same lexicon, different personification.

States aren't people. The will of THE PEOPLE was not fulfilled and you know it.

You're right, fortunately 62.5 million people can override the obvious will of 64.8 million though.

The will of the people, as set up by the founders, has spoken and elected their president. California shouldn't have the ability to override the other 49 states, the founders were correct. Trump is your president.
