Oops, sorry didn't know that (about the quoting part).
Both Nodame Cantabile and Your Lie in April are among my favorites for music-centered series, including K-On :)

Well, the specials for Grisaia (Kajitsu, Meikyuu, Rakuen) ventured damned close to the line of outright hentai :p
At least they weren't nipple-less freaks like in Cross Ange!
AT need to fix that. :)

I don't watch Hentai. ^^

K-on is love K-on is lyfe!

So, watched the first 3 episodes of Kill la Kill and it is obvious it was made by the Gurran Lagann guys. And the fan service is borderline satire of anime fan service.

I gave up on it after six or seven episodes.

Same. Just felt like I was watching furi kuri all over again but stupider since it was trying to be a bit serious where furi kuri wasn't. Which is why I liked furi kuri and not kill la kill.

Kill la Kill is fine, but I don't know if I'd call it one of the best anime in recent years. I think it has a silly vibe, which is refreshing compared to most super serious action anime. Satsuki's Theme is flippin' awesome; if I listen to it, I can practically picture her giving some ridiculous, grandiose speech. My only issue is that I thought they could've made the show a bit more concise. Some things just felt a bit too drawn out.

My son is big "One Piece" fan.

I don't watch the series, but I do enjoy the movies and special editions.

Since I suggested it, I should probably make sure you didn't hate it. :p I'd actually like to see more of the series, but I don't know if we'll get it.

Aldnoah Zero

This is one of those series that I can say really isn't that good, but I still watched it anyway. Maybe it's because of the lack of good mecha anime (at the time when this series came out)? I think part of it also has to do with the main character's seeming invincibility (plot armor, engage!), which can sometimes be fun. It's like why you watch Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei -- what kinda crazy stuff is Tatsuya going to do today!? :p

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun

I saw a few episodes of this, and while it's technically a shoujo show, it seemed pretty good. I really ought to finish it. Does it stay good throughout the entire show?

Loved it, since it is somewhat similar to Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo. Also like the wordplay in the title since "kawaisou" -> "pitiful" :p
The ending doesn't resolve anything though - another case of "STFU and read the manga" :(

Same here! Wanted mecha fixes, so decided to pickup Aldnoah Zero, Valvrave, Cross Ange, Gargantia, etc.

I'd say so, but it is only 12 episodes anyway. A refreshing take on shoujo without the usual BL, pantyshots, etc., not that there's anything wrong with that if it is done well (eg. Seitokai Yakuindomo - really liked this one and wish that someone would sub the 2nd season)

They are milking the series tooooooo far now. 1 year of fillers 1 FUCKING YEAR!!!!!!! Without the fillers Naruto is probs the best shonuen IMO, with fillers I rate Naruto 5/10.:thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

Atm I'm watching Berserk in ENG dub and it's freaking awesome so far. The plot and character development is ace. I recommend Berserk if you like Gore with good plot. That said I'm only on episode 18 right now :)
