Steins; Gate is not on Netflix. I just checked. I cannot watch most of the anime since I do not have the time to read the subtitles and most of them are in just Japanese.

I finished Steins; Gate a few nights ago. I found it to be cleaver. Time to finish Attack on Titan.

I liked steins gate, watched it a few months ago and enjoyed it. Time travel always gets me going as it is.

Eureka Seven is brilliant and beautiful. Eureka Seven: AO... not quite so much. It's still entertaining and interesting because of how it's story informs E7 but I don't think it's coherent enough to really be enjoyed independently.

Watching the Valkyria Chronicles series atm. I loved the game and so far have been pleasantly surprised at the show after 5-6 eps. It's been pretty faithful to the game story so far (though skips over some less significant encounters in exchange for, imo, greater character depth) but all the major battles have been instantly recognizable which is pretty neat. I really enjoy the animation, it retains a lot of VC's charming look and the vehicles in particular seem to be a cool meld of CGI's smoothness and the "Canvas" engine style. I'm not sure how compelling the conflict of Gallia vs Empire would be to a newcomer however, it's not been shortchanged screentime at all but I think so far it hasn't really conveyed a sense of urgency or the stakes being high.

I stopped after the first one. :p I've been told that I shouldn't have, but I just haven't gotten around to trying it again.

You gotta muscle through that jerky main character. Once the S hits the fan it doesn't let up.

For some reason, I never got into Majutsu as much, but I've seen all of Railgun. I did find the weird yuri girl kinda awkward though.

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei

There's something about Tatsuya. The story is kinda meh and there's the weird siscon thing, but Tatsuya is just so bad ass. The whole end part with the magic games is so good!

Even after cleaning up my collection and moving things around it looks like I will need to get a new HDD by the end of the year.

I've never seen so much nun-punching in my life! :p
That said, the OP/EDs for Railgun are better than those for Majutsu. I mean, fripSide's Only My Railgun, Level 5 Judgelight, Sister's Noise are awesome!

True about Tatsuya. Wish they'd hurry up and make another season and hope the OP/EDs are as kickass as the current ones (LiSA + GARNiDELiA + ELISA + Rei Yasuda?! Yes please!)

On another note, just finished Grisaia no (Kaijutsu, Meikyuu and Rakuen).
Talk about f*cked up character backgrounds, but nothing we haven't seen before (eg. Elfen Lied, Mirai Nikki, Btoom!)

I just caved and upped my servers to 16x 4TBs each (one in TX, one in IA).

Won't have to worry about space for quite awhile, even though I collect waaaay too much stuff (like OP-ED PVs) :p

Started watching One Punch Man. Seems like there's a handful of episodes out so far, maybe like 10 or so.

It's pretty good, silly and fun, and reminds me a lot of Bleach's comic relief portions. The fights are pretty good and the characters are unique. The way the story is going, it's making me hopeful that there will be some insane baddies in the near future.

Up to seven I think. I like it.

Honestly, I mostly skip the openings and endings. I don't listen to a lot of J-Pop, and that's what they tend to be. The only series that I can recall that I'd always listen to the opening would be Deadman Wonderland, Great Teacher Onizuka, Initial D 1st/4th, and Soul Eater. Oh, and I think it was Gundam SEED Destiny that had TMR's Invoke as its first opening. On that note, Kenshin also had a lot of good OPs and EDs... including Yoake Mae from TMR! But my favorite there is probably the last ending theme, Dame! I don't know why I like it, but I do. :$

I only got a few episodes into the first one (Kaijutsu). I don't know... it just didn't seem like it was really going anywhere. I always get a bit more annoyed whenever a show opens a plot thread and lets its dangle for a while.

I'm debating switching to Unraid (from a Windows 7 machine with network shares) and grabbing two more 4TB drives. I'm nowhere near 16x 4TBs, but I think this'll put me at 8x.

I started reading the manga after episode six, and part of me is a bit worried. The volumes have a ton of side-stories to them, so you don't get that much content per volume. I think there are only three "situations" until the end of volume 9. I still need to read the individual chapters to see what else happens. It's a fun show overall, and probably the best this season, but I do wonder what they'll do. I haven't seen episode 7 yet, but they showed off Blizzard at the end of episode 6. She doesn't meet Saitama until... I think it was volume 9. :p

Fair enough. I think the first 3 (4?) eps are kind of character + setting intros.
Then they tackle each character's arc from the VN in short order.

IMHO, they did a decent job of compressing all the content of the VN down into 12-13 eps.
