This isn't news. He can run if he wants. The voters will decide. When you think of politics and morals, well, no such animal.
What's the moral difference between cutting assistance to the poor, and sexting your junk?
None really.
Let him run. Let the voters decide.
And btw, so far he is top in the polls.
So this isn't news beyond the talking head tv media.
I'm mean really... When the pope is diddling little boys, can anyone claim morality superiority?
Politics and morals me think not.
You have to be pretty much a creep in the first place to even seek such fame.
The voters will decide. And most likely he will win.

So you're alright with this piece of shit exposing himself? As long as it's your side?

Any evidence? Of course not and why are you only targeting Christians? You're a coward and scumbag.

As a Democratic voter I do not want this creep working his way up the ladder. He is a career politician, I believe he has further political ambitions. Needs to be shunned from the party.

I'd say you're right to be concerned. This will probably kill his mayoral bid if it hasn't already, but people do tend to forgive and forget sex scandals so who knows where he goes in another 3 or 5 years.

Is this some kind of variation on fucking up a wet dream?

Anthony Weiner Prematurely Ejaculated During Phone Sex: Nik Richie

"She told me in discussions, that the phone sex was not good with Anthony Weiner because he would have an orgasm...within a 30-second period," Richie told HuffPost Live host Marc Lamont Hill. "She would never get the opportunity to get off."

Richie added that the woman was left thinking "what about me?" and often feeling used after their phone sex sessions abruptly came to an end.

Whether he's hopelessly addicted, which deserves some sympathy, or he's so arrogant to think he could get away with it, or a combination of the two (likely), the fact is he's wildly unsuited for office and I love this view on it. This author says his wife is acting like an abuse victim and that she's sick of watching idiot politicians with their pitiful wives stand by them and take this shit in front of the cameras, it's weak sauce bullshit.

It's funny to see him still in the race. What an arrogant fuck. He will get blasted at the polls, although will get more votes than he should (he deserves zero).

Probably because Weiner is a politician in the United States.. which is not a country in which most citizens are of religions other than Christianity (and its many shades).

When talking about countries where Islam is the majority religion, do you also talk about Christians? No, you don't... so shove your double standard up your ass.

The problem with him is not the sexting. It is the lack of impulse control he seems to suffer from. After the initial incident, you would think he would be able to control himself. He was unable to do so. Someone who lacks impulse control is not someone you want for Mayor etc..

His wife, probably knows about all of this and she is in it for the ride to the top. She knows what she is getting into when she is with him.

It should be illegal to send naked pictures over a phone or a computer that are unsolicited. Doesnt that violate some FCC Regulation? I mean if you compared something like this to say a man that walks up to a woman on the street and opens a trenchcoat or a raincoat and flashes his genitals to passing Women shouldnt he at least be charged with indecent exposure or something. Put this idiot in jail or something.

Also put his name on a predator list.

I'm going to go with the theory that he's a sexually-charged guy married to a nearly sexless prude. There also appears to be some blog speculation out there that Huma is Hillary Clinton's lesbian lover.

All this outrage, while Vitter, a man who cheated on his wife the prostitutes, is still in the US Senate.

Cheat on your wife with prostitutes is ok. Sending naughty/dirty txt messages and photos is not.

Ah hell, not to bring up former issues, but its like Republicans pitch a fit when democrats philander, but fuck Gingrich was banging a 23 year old House staffer at the same time he was trying to persecute Bill Clinton. Gingrich had a long term affair with a woman less than half his age ALL WHILE speaker of the House. Two known affairs while in his two decades in office, but again, sexting is bad.

The GOP is very hypocritical on this issue. Its like democrats are expected to immediately fall on their swords and resign but republicans are to be forgiven and not resign.

If every politician who has done some sort of philandering was forced to resign or banned from politics we'd have a whole lot less politicians.

He found himself a nice Indian wife. It's in the Indian culture for the men to be very dominant in the relationship so I'm sure that's why she's a good fit for Anthony.

Shes Pakistani and [supposedly] a devout Muslim, Weiner is Jewish...Talk about a odd couple!

Yeah I agree with that editorial. It's shameful the was these pols who get into infidelity scandals trot out their aggrieved wives into public to salvage their political careers by claiming that they forgave their asshole husbands. Doing that is almost as bad as the infidelity itself. These wives are already humiliated by the public nature of their husband's infidelity. Compounding it further with these public displays is deplorable.

Weiner promises the voters that "While he is in the office" he will not do any kind of sexting or sending photographs of his genatalia to random women.

They may choose to do it because in some cases it is in their own best interest, but that doesn't change the fact that it is humiliating and the husband created the entire circumstance which led to it.

UM, no. Vitter visited a prostitute. He then stopped, became a born-again Christian, confessed to his wife, obtained forgiveness, and was outed years later by the hooker. Not at all the same thing.

Plenty of reasons to dislike Vitter without lying about him, and there are plenty of Republicans who like Wiener only stopped and asked forgiveness when caught. Well, maybe not like Wiener, since we now know he didn't actually stop when caught.

For real. For me it isn't the sexting, as I don't really care about that. This just shows a total lack of self control and poor judgment. You were busted and your career ruined and you picked it right back up a few months later? (if he ever stopped at all) He does not have the temperament to be trusted with power.

I think this sums it up very well.

A total lack of control and complete lack of common sense. Any person with these character flaws do NOT need to be a representative of the people in any elected office.

Well, we have Vitter's word that he confessed to his wife years earlier, which could be true. However, the rumor was abounding for years before the madam's "black book" came out, which is what caused him to confess publicly. But prior to that, Vitter did at least twice deny the rumor in media interviews. He essentially waited until he was dead to rights on the evidence before he offered a public confession. In other words, whatever he did or didn't say to his wife, for years he lied about it to protect his political career. While it seems likely that he had discontinued his extra-curricular activities some time before his confession, it's quite possible he carried on with them even after the rumor was afloat, and while he was denying it in radio interviews.

He did also trot out his forgiving wife for the cameras after he was caught. Just like Weiner. The main difference here seems to be the religious conversion. So if Weiner suddenly finds God and apologizes profusely while crying, Jimmy Swaggart style, I assume that means you'll change your assessment of him.

The fact of the matter is Vitter being in office after committing a crime(he wasn't charged because of SOL) and cheating on his wife is far more serious than Wieners sexting. PERIOD.

And he was actually "outed" when he tried to run for Governor but he denied denied denied and the issue went away after he withdrew from the race. So he wasn't so honest and forthright. He was lying to the public after him being "born again", which is a total crock of shit. And for fucks sake he slept with a prostitute for almost a year. Sexting vs. sleeping with a hooker for a year.

And no I don't support any of them. I just think its hypocritical that family value republicans get out of things when they fuck up. The party of family values has had TWICE the number of incidents since 2000. He'll even in the '90s they had far more of these incidents, there were almost all of the GOP leadership and several other House members that went after Clinton were having various affairs. Most didn't resign, and several are still serving including ones that have weaseled their way out of solicitation charges.
