And how is that materially different from many, many other posts? There are lots of threads that are made purely to mock 'Darwin award nominees' and the stupid ways they die.

uh, because darwin awards are for people who harm themself, not people getting shot at an upscale mall while waiting at the valet for their car.

QFT, OP needs some time off to contemplate wishing death on another person.

Anyone have proof the guy was anything other than just a musician?

Troll, troll, troll your boat.

Read his lyrics - there's your proof. A musician plays the violin; like it or not, this guy was far more: he sang about fucking hos, doing drugs, and shooting people. He also dressed the part, whether it's a stage persona or not.

He used his music to glorify the culture of drugs and violence that created his murderer.

It's far too much to say he deserved what he got - but he was certainly tempting fate.

You clearly will not get the point that his lifestyle has the potential to harm himself, just like jumping off a 3-story roof. His lifestyle glorifies gang violence and murder. Let's sample some of his lyrics:

Get familiar with the style
Get familiar with the swag
Get familiar with the pizzazz
Be showin' my _
Get familiar with the chain flooded loaded in cash
Every car got a stash in the dash
Every chick thick with an ass
First one to blast
Ask questions later
Fo Fo mag
How a awesome dude dress to hater
No mass on the caper
I ain't pressed for paper
Duckin' vestigators
I'm cooler than a fridgerator
Sweeter than a Nowalater
Gang get it poppin'
Make the haters feel the vapors
Dolla the hood favorite
That weak shit save it
Feelin' myself I got the whole block achin'

Maybe someone decided to shoot first and ask questions later. With a fo fo mag.

oh so now every song lyric represents the exact actions of the singer at hand?

i didn't realize that was a rule, my bad...

If it smells like shit, looks like shit and tastes like shit. It is probably shit.

The difference is that there's an entire culture that takes these lyrics as a guide on how to live your life. Singing about it and (at least creating a persona that purports) to be a part of it is tempting fate, period.

yes, because clean, wholesome music that doesn't talk about drugs, ho's and violence just sells so well to the gangsta community...

Its funny how close minded you are.....not everyone has the same opportunities. Many people grow up in shitholes that you will never experience. They have to do what they have to do to get ahead. Its far from an excuse and I'm not defending them as most of them do choose to continue their lifestyles even when afforded an opportunity to escape them.

He might have been scum, but your comments make you look like a buffoon.....and you're probably not any better then him. Its easy to judge people from behind a computer.......

WTF, this guy is not very good at this.

That's what jumped out to me too.

You've just offed a rapper & you're getting ready to fly out of town... What do you do with your gun?

A) Drop it in a trash can somewhere, better safe than sorry
B) Leave it in the rental car, no time to stop and find a trash can
C) Take it into the airport with you, you might need it on the flight home

Dumbass.

Dude, its a safe bet he was addicted to something.

as for callousness; people who live the gangsta rap lifestyle usually have bad things happen to them.

Clearly you haven't meet most of ATOT:

1) everyone has advanced degrees
2) everyone makes over 100k a year
3) everyone has model kids. They are taught classical music at the age of 4. Anything rap related in shunned.

But seriously PimpJuice, although I agree with you 100%, it's falling on deaf ears.

Ummm, no. It's not a safe bet. I went a school with a lot of dudes that looked like this guy and most of them were not addicted to anything. What makes it a safe bet? The backward hat and tattoo? Seriously dude, a lot of inner city youth look like this.

I know a number of people who grew up in serious poverty but didn't become thugs. They went the harder course and stayed in school to better themselves and their family. Becoming a thug is the lazy road in life that eventually leads only to one place.

Laugh all you want. If you think a life cut short at the age of 21 (regardless of the circumstances) is funny, that speaks volumes about you in it of itself.

1. This guy was a rapper, and signed to a label. Very competitive industry and difficult to break into, so I doubt he was lazy.

2. Everyone who dresses like that is not a "thug." It's just how some people dress/look in some parts of town.
