Specs? It's not an OS issue if the power button isn't even working because that's controlled by the UEFI firmware or BIOS. There's something else going on. Maybe a very dusty system or some insects have started calling your PC mobo a home. It could also be related to a bad PSU.
My case has dust filters and it's pretty much spotless inside. I have a EVGA Gold 750W power supply and a 5700x with an AIO. People have a hard time accepting there is software eg. OS and there is hardware. The bios is the least of my concerns even though I always have the most recent bios.
Even good PSUs are prone to going bad every once in a while. Maybe the current it's delivering isn't clean. Also check your vsoc and other important voltages to see that they are not being boosted beyond safe limits.
Microsoft can and does break a lot of things but as Igor said long pressing the power button should bypass the OS entirely and hard shutdown the PC.
My biggest problem with my 5800x3d is that I can't justify upgrading from it!
I swapped the 3700X with my kid for one of my 5800X3Ds. I let my wife use the other for a daily driver where it is completely wasted. I think I am swapping in the 3700X and taking it back soon.
See if I upgrade my old system will go to my wife.
Do it sneakily without telling her and report back if she notices something different about the PC in normal use 😛

AMD has released the 5600X3D, 7600X3D and supposedly will be releasing the 9600X3D, so the 6 core 3D cache processors are already a thing.
The 8C are still produced for Zen 4, only the 7900X3D/7950X3D were phased out.
Okay. But 6 core 3D cache CPUs are and have been produced - wasted or not, which was the point, wasn't it? It was my point, anyway.
I didnt say that the were not produced, my point is that they re not as sellable as 8C, in Germany FI the 7800X3D sold much more than the 7600X3D excepted for july, and even more for the 5700X3D vs 5600X3D.

Yes and they somehow haven't had the dual V-cache idea which most people think is a bad idea but AMD hasn't done it yet so it must be a good idea, right???? 😀
Really unfortunate, but it seems to purposefully coincidence with the DDR4 price hiking this summer. At some point or another AM4 just won't be feasible anymore since some component gets out of the line pricing wise.End of the road for AM4 X3D CPUs.

I paid I think $100 for my i3-2100 just before the launch of Ivy Bridge and got an expensive $215 Z77 mobo and 32GB RAM for $300. I think it lasted me more than 5 years with most of the time not using it because I was playing games on PS4 or Xbox One S or using my Haswell laptop. I did upgrade it to i7-3770 for about $125 but that didn't see much use either. In my entire life, the single personal desktop CPU that I spent the most waking hours with is the Coppermine Celeron 700 MHz. Such is life.
